Serious sewer odor and maintenance issues ruined an otherwise excellent stay

    1. Our stay was significantly affected by a persistent sewer odor in the room, especially strong in the bathroom. I reported the issue on the first night and requested either a remedy or a room change. The property promised to send maintenance the next morning and provide an update, but I never received one, and the odor persisted throughout our 3-night stay. Just before check-out, I discovered the apparent cause: both the kitchenette and bathroom sinks lacked sewer gas traps (see attached photos), which likely allowed gases to enter the room. This is not only unpleasant but also poses a potential health hazard. The small bathroom fan was inadequate for properly ventilating odors or moisture. There may also be a missing trap under the shower drain, though I could not confirm this without disassembly. I submitted a complaint and refund request through Booking.com, but the property has not responded after more than a week. It’s essential that the owner address these issues before continuing to rent out this accommodation. 2. Communication with the property was inconsistent. They did not respond to a Booking.com message about check-in, but did reply via WhatsApp. 3. Additional issues: the bathroom faucet is poorly designed—its short reach causes water to splash into the large gap between the sink and wall, potentially leading to mold. Also, while the floors appeared swept, they were still dusty.

Great location directly across from an entrance to Roma Termini. The unit features modern renovations (with some exceptions noted below) and a large flatscreen smart TV on an adjustable arm. The sofa beds were reasonably comfortable; I didn’t find the small gaps between sections to be an issue. The kitchenette was useful for light cooking, equipped with a sink, some counter space, basic utensils, glasses, two dishes, one pan, and a single-burner cooktop—though there was no microwave or fridge. The AC unit was modern, relatively quiet, and controlled by remote. Wi-Fi was strong and fast. The space had high ceilings and windows that opened and blocked most street noise. Fixed wooden blinds blocked much of the light but were not full blackout.

Air condition not available despite that i requested the room to be cool before my arrival. I was not informed that there was ONLY a ceiling fan. This is tricky!!!

Nothing to like, no electric kettle, no wardrobe, no mirror, very poor lighting.
