Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThere was no AC but , there was a fan in the room which helped a little with the heat. The house is build with some old rocks which in the summer it keeps you cold , as the manager told us but still you could feel the heat.
The place is located near to the seaside about 10 min drive . The rooms were pretty clean and they had all the thing we needed . The breakfast was very good and freshly baked every morning . The view and atmosphere were great and perfect for a quiet getaway. Overall it was a great experience and if I would go again in that area would definitely stay there again. The owner, Rocco he was very friendly and attentive with us. He helped us with information and even offered us discount when we ate at the restaurant.

PolandAmazing experience. Amazing staff. Pure perfection.
Let's face it: there are two different levels of high (9+) ratings on booking: 1). The ones you give some people for being nice even though the place is more like a "6" or "7" 2). The ones that are actually a 10. This place is actually a 10 and made me regret I gave other places high ratings;) go there and see why this place is head and shoulders above others in this price range.

Very special location with incredible views, and the 200 year old home is a stunning combination of old and modern. We felt like we were in a scene of Under the Tuscan Sun (Cilento Sun). You are surrounded by old olive trees, mountains and an historic village with a market and a couple of quaint restaurants. Rocco could not have been more helpful with suggestions and advice. Breakfast was delicious and dinner was fantastic! This is a memorable location.

The staff was amazing. Breakfast was the best! It’s a charming setting. A slice of life in a small Italian village. Lots of common space in a 200-year-old Inn with two kitchens. Wonderful years.

MaltaWhat was meant to be just an overnight stop turned into one of the most memorable stays of our trip. The garden and surrounding area are absolutely breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. What really stood out was the warm, genuine welcome we received, not forced or overdone, just truly kind people. A place that completely exceeded our expectations. If you are reading this and hesitating, just book it!

GreeceStaying at Pie' d'Ulivo exceeded our expectations! The photos looked great, but the reality was even better—like stepping into an old postcard. Rocco is an outstanding host, warmly welcoming us and offering invaluable advice throughout our stay, while Marisa ensured everything was impeccably clean! Breakfast featured fresh, local options, and we even spotted chickens in the big field! The property, surrounded by olive groves, offers stunning views and is the perfect retreat in a picturesque village, with easy access to both mountains for trekking and coastal villages with amazing beaches. A true gem for anyone looking to relax and escape daily life. Highly recommend!

SpainWe truly loved everything about our stay in Pie' d'Ulivo. It is an exceptional place! The premises are beautiful and the house and rooms tastefully decorated. We planned to stay one night but extended our stay because we enjoyed so much. The breakfast was delicious (especially the bruschetta) and Rocco was taking so well care of us. We visited also the Museum and house of Jose Ortega which is a must when staying at Bosco where he spend many years of his artistic life. We really want to come back to Pie' d'Ulivo and Bosco in the future! Thank you for everything Rocco!

ItalyExceeded our expectations! The grounds with the olive trees are stunning. We were so sad to leave and regretted not booking more days. Rocco and Marisa were extremely kind and helpful. Our daughters LOVED Pie d'ulivo, they felt at home and were so sad when we had to leave. The location was perfect for us! Close to the beach but also offers other day activities nearby that we enjoyed (thanks Rocco for your suggestions!). Can't wait to stay there again!

South AfricaThat we didn't plan a longer stay. I can not give a higher rating. The property deserves a higher rating than 10.
Exceptional country house with a beautiful garden. We were welcomed with coffee and water plus given the option of selecting our room. Having a room with a bath was a bonus. The breakfast selection was amazing, and it was lovely to have breakfast in the garden. The restaurant recommendation was excellent.
