Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI booked property with a thought of using the spa and sauna. Unfortunately during our stay it was under construction and this amenities were completely unavailable which my husband and I were looking forward too. It wasn’t listed anywhere on the website that this is happening when I was booking a room.
One of the best locations to stay. We had a room with a perfect view on Ponte Viecchio and Arno River. It’s a 15 minute walk to a train station (Firenze SNM) and 5 minutes walk to any landmark or boutique. Couldn’t be more convenient

SwitzerlandOdd layout of all common areas - breakfast in the sister hotel across the street. No coffee machine in room. €850 per night is very expensive for a small room - paid less in Venice during the Biennale last spring for a bigger room in a hotel of similar standing. This would all be fine, but freshly squeezed orange juice costs extra?!?
Really comfortable bed and room - great staff - - especially the excellent spa staff and the very kind and helpful staff member on arrival - rooftop bar is lovely.

MaltaBreakfast is served in another hotel across the street. Can imagine that in poor weather this could be a nuisance.
We love the rooms that are in the old tower, the rooftop bar, and the location of the hotel. Not our first time here, keep coming back. Love the Ferragamo amenities.

BrazilWe were in 2 rooms ( 4 people ) When we arrived, I asked Luca, at the reception, if it was possible to change the floor of at least one room because eventough we had a room with the Arno River view, we couldn´t see much of a view. He decided not to please us, allegating that there were no other room available with an Arno view on an upper floor ( we find out later that it was not true ) Bad luck for us. Not only because of the view, but specially because one of the windows were not closing very well. As a result, I became ill ( I was already ill but my condition worsen because of the cold air inside the room). On the next day lovely Christine did everything in order to mitigate our problem. Not only because she let us choose a room which windows are more insulated but also because she have the concern of providing us two additional heaters. The room was bigger and better than the one I formerly reserved but I think it was a fair trade considering that I spent the next whole 3 days inside the room feeling very ill. Because of my condition, we decided to stay for more 2 days and the hotel kept us in this bigger room paying the price of the other room. .Summarizing, I think they have the concern to try to mitigate the problem they caused me. Cristine was very nice and saved us to have a bad opinion of the hotel. Ashfar also was very nice. One last thing : the breakfast wasn´t very good. For example, in order to have scrambled eggs and pancakes, we have to pay sepparately for them.
The hotel is very charming. Furniture, decor, bathroom. And it is very well located

United KingdomThe breakfast spread was pretty mediocre, and add ons like eggs and porridge had to be paid for. The hotel didn’t have much by way of facilities. The spa was closed for refurbishment, and the rooftop bar was also closed. There was no other cafe or bar within the hotel.
Spectacular service, very attentive, polite, helpful, responsive and accommodating. Brilliant location, comfortable rooms, beautiful decor.

United StatesThis is a gem in the heart of Florence.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a surprising design hotel in the heart of Florence. Part of the Ferragamo Lungarno group and just steps from the Ponte Vecchio, this hotel is a true haven for fashionistas. My room was an intimate and cozy snug, with a spacious bathroom. However, it might be a bit tight for two people. I was fortunate to be on the alley side and slept soundly throughout my four-night stay. The white room and relax lounge on the first floor were another one of those hidden treasures. Perfect tranquil havens in hectic Florence for a short break. From check-in to turndown service and departure, the staff made me feel like a VIP. They were the true stars of the hotel – professional, personable, and incredibly friendly. When my wallet was unfortunately pickpocketed, they went above and beyond to offer assistance. While the hotel's rooftop was closed for the winter, the rooftop at its sister hotel across the way was a hidden gem with amazing views. I'm already looking forward to returning soon. As a hotel guest, you'll also receive a 10% discount at the Ferragamo museum shop – a wonderful added perk.

The location at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio was superb. Hotel Continental was cutting edge 20 years ago as is still modern. The rooftop bar has lovely views.
