How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing really, it was all very good for us.
the Host was very accommodating to arrange to let us in and show us around the apartment. IT was in a very good central location and was safe and secure. Everything that we needed was there for us.

The A/C in the larger room didn't get as cold as the one in the smaller and it was close to being uncomfortable. However, I imagine this is only an issue on really hot days! I also didn't realize this apartment didn't have a common area for people to gather, so something to consider if you're looking for communal spaces.
The location was great and the beds were very comfortable! The host was extremely nice and the rooms were large.

Ant problem should have been taken care before our arrival. It needs to be fumigated since it is an old building. Besides that, it is a great place to stay.
Location and service from the owner. She is a great host. We had some ant issue and she immediately fixed it. Great renovated place to stay. The place was very clean when we arrived. In the middle of the city, with easy access to the main attractions and restaurants. No need to rent a car.

the only minor gripe was that one of the bedrooms did not have exterior window access but having said that it did open to a utility room which had lots of exterior windows for fresh air.
Tiziana was so helpful in all respects, from booking our transfer from the airport to recommending local restaurants, including making a booking for us at a lovely restaurant which unfortunately we didn’t make it to as one of our kids became unwell.

The only issue was the water pressure, which wasn’t great when showering.
Good communication from the owner prior to our stay. She arranged the airport transfers for us, which were reliable and friendly. She met us on arrival and was friendly and welcoming. The apartment was bright and airy and had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. The property was in an excellent location. Just a few minutes walk from the Colosseum and the metro. Several local, affordable restaurants on the doorstep.

We stayed at the Via Copo d’Africa apartment with my family and our friends with 2 kids. The apartment is very comfortable, has everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped. It is at a perfect location close to all the sights of Rome. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The washer was workable, but it seemed a little older.
Great location and very warm property manager/assistant. It was a nice amount of space for our family of five— two bathrooms was a major plus! Kitchen was clean and we used the fridge for drinks/breakfast food. Easy to reach from the the metro.

Replacing new bed sheets. The bed I slept on has a big hole in the centre of the sheet. Not enough toilet paper, we have to run out to buy some more toilet papers.
Location is very convenient. Host was very helpful with arranging transportation for pickup and drop off.

We recommend an improvement on water pressure and hot water reserve for the showers. There were times the hot water ran out after only being used for 10 minutes.
COMMUNICATION: Quick response from the host via WhatsApp. She met us on arrival, giving the quick tour of the place herself. She is very personable, gives good recommendation for places to eat. She even made us reservation for a restaurant she recommended. LOCATION: Walking distance to transit system, a decent walk to main Roman sightseeing sites, very close to Colosseum! Lots of options to eat in the area. Quiet neighborhood, away from all the crowds. Building is safe and clean! COMFORT: Beds are comfortable and very clean!
