How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It‘s a bit loud outside of the rooms. You can hear the guests. But it‘s not a big thing at all. I think it‘s just good to know. :)
The property was so good! We had everything we need. There is also a small carrefour just outside the property. Everything was so easy in walking distance. The staff was very nice and we had just a wonderful time. We will definetly come back and stay again in this property 🤩

The stuff are super nice specially Valeria and Vito. The location is central and you can see the Colosseum from your window. The room was clean and tidy. The price also was affordable.

The location was perfect as it is only 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum, and 10 minutes to the metro to get to the Vatican. Valeria and the staff were super friendly and lovely. Valeria gave us a map of the city and gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to go. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this place.

The property is clean and well maintained. We came back to freshly made up sheets and towels everyday which was a bonus. The beds are comfy and you have everything you need in your room including aircon which was needed during a heatwave. The location was outstanding. A 2 minute walk from the Colosseum and a view of it from our bedroom window. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have done enough for us. I’d recommend this place to anyone coming to Rome.

We stayed for 3 nights here. Incredible rooms, very clean, only 10 minutes walk to Colosseum. Very very friendly staff, they gave us a Crossini to take away and our stay, which is very very kind. Will book again here if we have a chance to come back to Rome. Thank you very much ;)

We had an amazing time here. The staff went above and beyond telling us everything about the city and where to go. Providing water, coffee and a delicious breakfast. The service was fantastic from start to finish. Valeria, Aurora and the team were brilliant. The location was perfect being right next to the coloseum and on the same street as the bus, tram and underground. We had our room made up every day and it was very clean. Would 10/10 recommend and return again. Thank you.

Everything was perfect! The location is very close to the Colosseum, but what truly made our stay amazing were the staff! Valeria, Arnel, Vi, and the owner are all incredible people. They made sure we were comfortable and experienced nothing but the best hospitality. Valeria, in particular, was so sweet and made sure we had breakfast, even on short notice. Vi and the owner didn't leave us until we had a taxi to the train station. They even kept trying to find us a taxi when it was difficult. We will definitely return to this place when we go back to Rome and will absolutely recommend it to our friends!

The location was ideal, walking distance to the Coliseum and other attractions. We were able to return to the apartment and freshen up during the day and head out into the heat again. Valeria was awesome, so friendly and helpful . Would return here again and recommend it to others.

All guests were lovely and quiet so it wasn’t a problem for us, but if you did have noisy neighbouring guests you would be able to hear loud noises.
Staff was so lovely. Location was perfect and the room was clean and tidy.

Great location, with short walks to Metro, buses, Coliseum and restaurants. Valeria, the manager was just amazing. She recommended restaurants, booked our cab, shared great info and made sure we had a nice breakfast every morning. The fact that breakfast was included was really appreciated! Thanks Valeria and Vito for your warm hospitality.
