How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewVery beautiful property with many decorations and plenty of spots for relaxing. View was outstanding. Host was extremely kind. Gave a good welcome and recommended a few restaurants in the area. Breakfast was nice with omelet and French toast cooked per order. Bed was comfortable.

Verified reviewAn exceptional hilltop location with breathtaking views, surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery. The energy of the place is amazing—perfect for relieving stress and recharging. There’s also a pool and jacuzzi for total relaxation. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming.

Gabriele went out of his way when the road was closed for works to help us get to the grocery store by driving us down. Verified reviewWe had a delightful two-night stay at this beautiful property after arriving in Italy, and it was the perfect first stop for our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. The property itself is stunning, incorporating original features with modern appliances to provide a perfect blend of charm and convenience. The location is equally beautiful, offering immediate access to some lovely hiking trails which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. The breakfast was superb, with everything freshly made and prepared to perfection. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, always available to help with any questions or needs we had. We wish we could have stayed here longer and will definitely consider returning in the future.

This place is extraordinary with its location in the mountains but close to many attractions snd beautiful nature! Lovely garden with lavender, sage, rosemary and roses ! Great breakfast with many options and homemade cake.

Verified reviewThis place is magical! It feels like time stops when you are here. Wake up in the morning in a comfortable bed to the sounds of birds singing. Take a few steps barefoot on the dewy grass with a cup of coffee in your hand and be grateful to be there. At night, sit in front of your door on the terrace with a glass of wine and feel the breeze with a hint of lavender. The place is very clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the apartment has everything you need. The pool is a blessing on a hot summer day, and the hosts are friendly and very helpful, making you feel welcome and at home. They are the nicest! We had a lovely time and can't wait to come back.

The first settlement of the Church was 1070 and this location was chosen for the beautiful settings in front of Adone mountain.
