Lightning keys a little confusing at first. Second floor by stairs is not for carrying a lot of luggage.

Normal italian breakfast available nearby. Location was fine, but not so close to the ceter as *I ecpected. Parking was a must in that city.

You will not be living inside the historic village of Matera, but it makes the arrival and departure quite easy. A short walk and you will be in the center.

Comfortable bed, amenities are equipped with new technology for lights, shower, etc. Parking is useful and next door.

Comfortable room decorated in an innovative style. Excellent internet, stunning and sophisticated shower. Convenient location near the Sassi. Excellent and spacious private parking. The owner is hospitable.

Very modern and clean apartment. Very special, enjoyable shower with music, colored light, and steam. Comfy bed. Spacious room and bathroom. There is a mini bar with fridge and coffee machine. Friendly, passionate, and helpful owner who gave us very useful advice for our stay in Matera. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to Matera.

Everything about this place in Matera was great. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The location is fantastic, very central with the possibility of free parking nearby. It is walking distance to all the trulli of Alberobello. Our host was very kind and greeted us when we checked-in. He gave us excellent recommendations of restaurants and places to visit in the area. We forgot our phone after checking out and he arranged for his parents to help us with the situation. We were so grateful for it. We highly recommend this apartment to any travelers!

There was no way to heat up the water, no kitchenette.There were only plastic cups, lack of cutlery, or any plate. A one-night apartment.

To stay in Matera more days ;)

There is nothing we didn't like :) The apartment was very good, spacious, clean and modern. Location is perfect and in very close walking distance if you want to explore the old city. We took the extra option for breakfast which was in a very close bar with very delicious sandwiches and croissants. The communication with the owner was very easy and he gave us all the necessary information which was needed. What was exceptionally useful for us was the app developed from the owner with city itineraries, recommended restaurant and shops close to the apartment and more. There is also an option for a parking right behind the building at very reasonable price. This was very convenient as the driving and parking in the city can be a challenge. If we are going to Matera again, we will definitely stay again at Chic House. Recommend it to all!

When we arrived, the floor had a lot of hair on it. Soundproofing works to the street noise but not for the neightbours. Bed was too soft for us, if you like soft mattress then it’s fine otherwise not.

Excellent location everything is reachable by foot within 10 min. Communication is easy with the host, he is a kind person tell every information that is needed and also flexible with the arriving.

Owner inflexible with our arrival time of 4:30pm. Meagre breakfast with one coffee and one snack at a nearby bar. Water in the room and parking charged. We were forced to check-in online.

Good room, with excellent shower and bed. Location is very good, walking distance to the Sassi and restaurants. Parking at the back of the buildiing.

Very central location to old town tourist sites. The host was very helpful in meeting us. Communications via WhatsApp were clear and informative before we got there. Great private parking for your car behind the structure. The host was very informative, he even designed his own website about Matera and the accomodation, places to eat and drink etc. Highly recommended if you are visiting Matera.

Nothing not to like really. Only negative I could find was fridge could have been colder after a hot day walking.

Good location away from all the hustle of main Matera which is exactly why I chose it. Good value on the main street into Matera. Secure private parking was also a must. Operated via a key fob. The shower was very quirky little different and quite difficult to operate initially. Apartment was very clean and modern. Bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting was brilliant. Added bonus of a balcony. Only wish there were a couple of chairs we could sit on. Apartment very secure overall. Thanks to Aldo for coming to meet us and check me in early. Much appreciated.

Refrigerator should be colder

Even we arrived before the check-in time, we were able to go to the room earlier. Biagio is a very nice, helpful and attentive person. The clean and comfortable space was precisely presented by him with his features. Room was exactly as it shown in the photos. Nespresso Coffee machine, refrigerator and flat screen available. The host gave us very useful information about Matera and the surrounding area. His original Homepage about Matera is very useful as well. Within walking distance to the train station, bus stop (<-> Piazza Matteoti to Belvedere Murcia Timone) and old town Sassi. Shopping facilities (food) and cafes are nearby. Contact via e-mail and WhatsApp was answered quickly.

The shower had so many functions - i.e. radio and mood lighting - that it was confusing to operate.

The unit was centrally located. There was parking, for a charge, on site. The host must be a graphic designer, as the decorations and facilities were top notch. A very pleasurable experience.
