Beautiful old castle, stunning outdoor pool area, charming rooms, and a brilliant team and kitchen. Don’t leave without trying the homemade apple strudle from the chef (it‘s divine). The breakfast and dinner were both delicious, fresh and local ingredients. The team is super helpful and lovely.

Castel Rundegg was wonderful in every regard. Based on our experience and photos, our adult children are hoping to go there. The staff was outstanding and a real joy; the hotel was beautiful, although we didn't use many of the facilities (e.g., too cold for outside pool). Dining was superb. My friend and I spent a wonderful Christmas weekend in the Hotel Castel Rundegg! The staff is VERY helpful and friendly! The hostess showed us the most interesting hiking routes through the city, the host helped us with glasses for the wine we bought in the city, and they kindly helped us with late check in and check out! Breakfasts and dinners are spectacular in the hotel. I would recommend having dinner there, too! The rooms are clean and very authentic. They are large enough and have a lot of storage space. You also have a breathtaking view from the hotel's rooms and garden. BTW, the garden is outstanding! There are plenty of herbs and trees and flowers there. Gorgeous place!

Our room was street/entrance facing and loud at night Room was comfortable but bathroom dated The bed was rock hard! We like a firm bed but we’re unable to sleep on side Proximity of breakfast to outdoor seating, but appreciated having breakfast outside.

Amazing olde world charm but upgraded so nicely. The staff are attentive and the property really luxe and special. The outdoor pool is perhaps the loveliest I’ve ever seen. Great spa. Really everything was over the top good. We stayed here 35 years ago and it’s even better now.

Perfect location to explore Merano on foot. Beautiful garden with lots of possibilties to relax and amazing outdoor swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, made us feel very welcome and gave us fantastic tipps to spend our day.

We liked everything about Castell Rundegg. The property is amazing and even more outstanding are the staff, which are all friendly, professional and welcoming. Special mention to Davide for all his tips on what to do and Daniele who is the best aqua gym trainer I’ve ever experienced. We can warmly recommend this hotel to any person considering a stay in Meran. You will not be disappointed!

Food is very good but choice is narrow. Parking is OK but alittle messy.

The castel is a very nice place, and the owners are very charming. Room are large and excellently equipped and so are the bathroom.
