One or our dinners was so weird that we ended up laughing. A steak came with some very thin fried potatoes and no other vegetables. Similarly, the beets supposed to be with another dish were a few scattered dried beets. We recommend that if you have a car you go to Savelletri. There are nice restaurants there.

We were there for two nights in late September. The pool is terrific. So is the location. It wasn't too hot on one of those days and so we walked into Savelletri on quiet roads which gave us a chance to really see the ancient olive trees. Staff were very good and helpful, especially since it is hard to get hot water (the answer is to run taps and flush the toilet for a very long time!). Breakfasts were good. The room was very nice. The sandwiches at the bar were good. This was our first stop on our trip to Puglia and we wanted to relax and not do much, and this place fit that bill well.

Getting to the property at night was difficult as there no lights or signs in front of property.

The property was very clean with several fruit trees scattered throughout. I was picking prickly pears every morning. The dinners were amazing. The pool is beautiful.

The air conditioning was extremely poor. Even after asking to move rooms, the issue wasn’t resolved - both rooms were uncomfortably hot. We were originally staying in the dreaded ‘Room 8’ which I’ve seen a number of reviews regarding this room in particular. Staff seemed disengaged and unenthusiastic, as if they’d heard the same complaints many times before. The overall feeling was that the hotel is really just a wedding venue with rooms, not a place designed for guest comfort or longer stays. There was little sense of hospitality or attention to detail for anyone not directly involved with a wedding event. If you’re staying for a wedding and only need a place to sleep, it might be fine. But for a longer or more comfortable stay, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

It's a little expensive but, these days, you pay for what you get.

What a great place to stay, wish we could have stayed longer. All the facilities were first class and we loved the dinner, local Puglia wine and the breakfast was just great..

- Firstly and most importantly, there was a theft during our stay at the property. We were staying at the hotel to attend a wedding and to everyone’s surprise and horror, the wedding photographer’s camera was stolen during the party. The venue were not very in finding it or getting help from the police. - In addition to the above, the venue staff had thrown away the wedding favours when changing the set up of the tables. I am still confused as to how someone thought that was the right thing to do. - On the day to day running of the venue, there was lack of staff across its premises meaning it was hard to get a coffee or a water - The place is in a bit of middle of nowhere so it’s hard to get around without a car; there are no nearby shops or restaurants

Location and resort was very quiet and peaceful, the grounds were spacious and the pool with bar was staffed all day. Breakfast was plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly. Unusual way of paying for drinks, food etc during our stay which was put on our room and paid when checking out(no PAYG system) Facilities were exceptionally clean on the whole resort.

It’s not a hotel, it’s a party and wedding venue with a couple of rooms which they rent out for extra income. However the main source of their income is the party business and that’s what they care about. As a result the customer service for “hotel” guests is non-existent, the breakfast’s are a sad joke and you must be ready to withstand high levels of noise at night (up until 2 am). Overpriced, avoid.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel (or even 3 star). It’s a wddding venue (and a very average one at that) with some accommodation. They have 45 weddings a year, and did not mention to us that our (thankfully only) one night stay coincided with a wedding. Even though our room was further from the event, the music was VERY loud and we had kids with us who struggled to sleep. Other guests had noisy neighbours who had attended the wedding and didn’t get to sleep until after 2am. The room was VERY average - we had an extra bed for one of our teenagers and he woke up to a bed full of ants in the morning. We were woken up at 2am by the TV a suddenly turning itself on (loudly). We tried to contact management late at night when we realised the noise issue and the General Manager had already gone home, and the event director said he couldn’t help. When the General Manager was available the following morning, he could not have been less helpful - he literally shrugged and told me he didn’t care and that ‘no one else has ever complained’. I work in hotels and this is the kind of management that speaks of regular and frequent complaints but no need to do anything about it as they are unlikely to have repeat business anyway. We had booked a room only rate, but I asked for breakfast to be included given the events of the night before. They grudgingly agreed, but breakfast was an absolute disaster. Breakfast finishes at 9.30am, which is very early for a weekend - but we arrived at 9.10am to a very busy restaurant, one waitress working (who was totally overwhelmed and dealing with complaints from every angle) and when we finally got her attention at 9.28am she told us we could not have coffee/ tea as breakfast finished at 9.30, even though we’d been trying to get served for the last 20 mins. The buffet was poor. This hotel was good value, but the stay was such a disaster and the management so appalling, I will raise a dispute with my credit card company.

Air con non existent in room even after complaining 3 times. room was 26 at night making it impossible to sleep. ants nest as well inside air con unit. only one key allowed. when we asked for another key was told no. only have the one. One morning at 6am the door tripped, sending out a very very loud noise. to stop this we had to open the door and present the key card….. the key card system seems very old as the doors still have key locks. room was also very dirty. floors not cleaned at all. on day two lost cold water. luckily we spent most of the late afternoon/evening out so didn’t effect us to much other than not being able to shower. definitely not a 4 star hotel.

The room was a long way from the dining room. Good that it did not rain. The noises from the neighbouring rooms were not to be overheard. On our second day we had no hot water in the room. Although the hotel was open, no wine card available, the information about the hotel and area was not working via the QR Code. We were told Computer problems. A long way from the car parking area to the rooms. Transfer via Golf cart.
