The kitchen was very small but enough if you only minimally cooked. Not as clean as I would have liked - microwave had not been cleaned. Bar soap & shampoo would have been a nice addition in the bath.

There was a great view of the water front and lots of restaurants just outside the door. Great location for tourist or just visiting and wanting to hang out. Inside was nicely furnished with plenty of room for 4 people. Adequate kitchen and laundry.

Excellent location right on the water close to cafes ferries and shopping. The apartment was expansive and beautiful and very clean. The host made everything so easy.

Only small issue was the two flights of stairs but we could securely leave our buggy / stroller downstairs each night so the only time it really impacted us was on arrival and departure bringing bags up and down the stairs. It's a beautiful old building and you could not install a lift.

Everything was great. It's a beautifully appointed apartment that feels like a home, in a very central location. The views of the lake from the lovely balconies were breathtaking.

Nothing to mention - we loved it.

The location is simply wonderful. The photos of the apartment are accurate and the place was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable, although the master bed was a little hard for my taste. Bed linen and towels were very good quality. WiFi was excellent. The shower was also very good. Our host was excellent - he came to meet us to show us around; he quickly sorted a minor problem which occurred. There is a "little" grocery store just a couple of minutes' walk away and it's very well stocked indeed. A little further away (c.270m) is a Carrefour express - good but very crowded! There are restaurants below and to both sides of the apartment but don't be put off - the sound proofing is amazing so with windows closed there was absolute peace and with windows open there we enjoyed all the happy noises outside. There are air conditioning units in the living room and the two bedrooms but we didn't use them. If you intend to take a ferry anywhere, my advice is book before you come - the queues were horrendous and we were so glad we'd booked!

When I first stumbled upon this charming place on Booking.com it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online, a true gem of a place. Marco is a thoughtful and most gracious host. He provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around. The apartment was just perfect! Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms and terraces are excellent. Location is incredible. Casa Battello has excellent local restaurants nearby with excellent food and hospitality. Thanks Marco and Casa Battello for a wonderful stay in Lago di Como! Grazie mille

It could have done with a full length mirror, but there were two large mirrors which are sufficient.

It was in a perfect spot. I couldn’t see anywhere better to stay in como during our visit. Federico was friendly and helpful, it was spacious and comfortable and we’d love to come back.
