Actually the only thing I did not like was the lighting. Led lamps can be cosy too, the chosen lights are very bright and white.

Very clean en very beautiful apartment with really enjoyable backyard with barbecue. Very close to the centre. Interior has been taken care of in a very attentive way, little decorative details make it a very attractive apartment. Very nice to see that all cleaning equipment and coffee and tea are available at arrival. All in all I would advise this apartment for sure!

Two very minor issues: - pillows could be more comfortable, we found them too flat - it would be helpful to have anti-mosquito nets in the windows because we did have few mosquitos in March ;) or at least the mosquito repellent plug in for the socket

We had a very good, relaxing time in the villa. It is super well kept house, with everything you might need for few days stay. It has lovely facilities outside which sadly we didn't use much because of weather (we were staying for 3 nights in March and had rain 2 days) which I can imagine are amazing in the summer! You can see the sea from the balcony which is nice way to start a day in the morning. Kitchen is very well equipped and comfortable to use. We also liked that there was air conditioning in both living room and the bedroom - nice to cool of in the summer or like in our case - heat the rooms slightly in the evenings in March ;) And it is very bright apartment which we liked! In the summer you have outside blinds that you can use to protect yourself from the heat/sun. There's also parking spot behind the fence, so you part at the property. Marina di Modica can be a great place in the summer, sadly in March we found it extremely empty (not even possible to get a fresh bread anywhere in the morning) so keep that in mind.

We had a fantastic time staying at Viletta Conteamare. The place was just as described, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was perfect, with easy access to beach. The host was very responsive and helpful, making the check-in and check-out processes smooth and easy. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Marina di Modica.

My family and I had a wonderful experience. The hosts were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond. Our flight was the day Mt. Etna erupted and they rang the airport to see what the situation looked like. Our flight was also late at night so the hosts offered to buy us necessities for the following day as any shops would be closed at that time. They accommodated any of our needs and the communication/ contact with them is very good. They answer straight away and answer any of your queries. Very welcoming, kind and helpful hosts. The house itself is in extremely good condition, very clean and spacious. Very well facilitated. Very close to a beautiful, sandy beach. Lovely quiet region. I would definitely recommend it!!!

The property is spacious, very clean, and has all necessary amenities available, including a fully-equipped kitchen and clothes washing facilities. It also has a nice, private large yard, with a BBQ area. We visited in winter, and were able to travel to central Modica by car in less than half an hour. I can imagine that in summer, the property is even more appealing, being just a few minutes walking distance from the sea at Marina di Modica - you can in fact see the sea from the front porch. It also provides very convenient parking. I would definitely recommend this property for a family with one or two kids.

This is a five star apartment, a clean and modern refurbishment but perhaps too perfect for a holiday let.   I have subtracted one star for each of the following. a) The owner requires a cash security deposit on arrival which means you have to coordinate your departure and arrival with him in order to pay and recover your funds. b) He has very restrictive arrival and departure times indicated on his booking requirements. We ran the risk of getting a speeding fine or paying him a cost penalty for late arrival. You may be able to renegotiate these times via your booking website or WhatsApp, c) We rented a two bedroom apartment but on arrival was told the 2nd bedroom would be locked as there were only two of us. After the stress of trying to get there within the time window I was not prepared to argue the case. WE generally use the 2nd bedroom as a dressing room and to store our cases but not to be in this case. . Of the 9 apartments we booked for this trip this is the only one we would not rebook. No problems with the description and photos of the apartment but I did not appreciate the impact of a), b) and c) above. The Apartment would probably be the best 2 bedroom apartment in the area but unless you are there in peak holiday season there is not a lot happening in Modica de Marina.  Luckily there was a good small local restaurant within walking distance open at the time we were there. We used  the Apartment as a base to visit  Ragusa, Nota, Syracuse, Ortigia and other towns in the general area so we spent little time in Modica de Marina itself.  I think the owner really needs to review whether he wishes to remove some of these conditions and if not remove the Apartment from the holiday booking websites.

At the time we were there the general area is a mix of run down and vacant properties. It may be more inspiring in peak holiday season when more places were open.
