The location was beautiful and had some amazing scenery. It was also close to walk to Bellagio, a pleasant stroll. The host was friendly and very helpful. The apartment was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a wonderful stay!

To enjoy the great view from the villa. We have to climb up over 100s steps stairs to the villa when we walked out to the town. (10mins or less)

We really enjoyed staying at Il Poggio for 4days. The room is a bit too big for two with big living, one bed room and great shower facility. The garden of the villa is huge and has one of the best view in Bellagio with a great pool. It is so fantastic so that we stayed a couple of hours just looking the view of Como lake and Swiss/Italian Alps. Room is very clean and the owner lady is very kind and often visits the villa for us, other guest and even urgent needs. One more thing we appreciated a lot was that she gave us three great restaurants and pastry shop recommendation, all of them are so delicious. It is hard to find those great places without local people advice, which is crucial in busy touristic town like Bellagio.

Francesca went above and beyond to make our stay special! She greeted us upon arrival, shared her favorite spots in and around the property, and showed us to our apartment, explaining all things we needed to know about the individual unit and the property more generally. She also continued to be available for questions throughout and brought an overall warmth to our stay!

There is a price for the spectacular views, being in an elevated position it is a bot of a hike from Bellagio. The walking up the steps to get to the villa from Bellagio is only really suitable for people who are able bodied, but we liked the exercise. Parking in Bellagio was a little tricky, you needs to get there early.

The location is superb with panoramic views of the lake. The grounds of the Villa are beautiful and very spacious and the facilities are great, we practically had the place to ourselves for the week we stayed. Odilla and Fransesca were a delight and could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and book a return.

We feel that the provision of more essentials would really make a big difference. More towels,(4 bath towels for 2 people over 5 nights was not really adequate). More toilet rolls and bin bags ...as these are not the type of items travellers should need to stock up on. Thank you, Kind Regards, Catherine & Rod :)

We loved our stay at Il Poggio! It was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. The views were amazing and amenities fabulous with an fantastic pool with view over the lakes! Francesca was a lovely host and always very responsive to our needs. Thanks Francesca and we hope to visit again sometime in the future!

The only caveat here is that it’s 10-minute drive from the town (and the ferry). It’s not really walkable, especially with luggage. Taxis are very hard to come by. I’d recommend renting a car or at least securing a taxi.

Beautiful, bucolic views of the countryside, hills, picturesque little hamlets, and lake. Quiet and relaxing. Removed from the hustle and bustle of Bellagio town. I enjoyed walking and exploring, finding little shortcuts and alleyways. Wonderful pool - again, those amazing views! The apartment included two full master rooms and bathrooms and was very well-appointed. Excellent friendly and helpful hosts!

Spectacular views from this very spacious apartment that has everything you need. The property is in a gorgeous area and close to two supermarkets, a bar and two restaurants. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The owners are very helpful

Not to do with the property itself, but highly advise renting a car as the walk back from Bellagio town is quite uphill so if you think you may be returning several times a day you may want to get a car.

Francesca is a fantastic host that clearly wants her guests to have the best possible time whilst in Bellagio. She greeted us at the property upon arrival with lots of information about our surroundings, and ideas for what to do whilst we were there. The property itself is situated in an amazing place, with the apartments having breathtaking views over the lake and an elevated pool area and very well kept gardens which have the same.

The walk back up to the apartment from downtown Bellagio is a trek uphill.  I highly recommend taking the Bellagio Express mini train and getting off at the first roundabout. This takes you up the hill halfway and therefore you only have to walk the other half.  it is only five euros and you can get it on the Lido right where the fairy docks.

Our two bedroom apartment was wonderful.  The little touches were much appreciated, like slippers in the bathroom. We also loved the terrace and amazing views from our bedroom window and the terrace. Francesca was a very gracious host. She greeted us at the apartment and walked us through, showing us everything that we would need to know. She also provided some maps with recommended restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores.

My stay was too short, I could have stayed another week.

This is a well-appointed, comfortable house, with breathtaking views and a charming owner, all set in the most beautiful location. We certainly got a bit fitter with the hilltop location, recovering in the lovely gardens, and the children spent hours in the crystal clear pool. Bellagio is an impressive town in its own right, and perfectly positioned to visit the other lakeside towns by scheduled ferry, and well worth the trip. There are several good restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance, and more by car. For the ultimate view, you can get scenic flights in a float plane taking off from the lake at Aero Club Como. The photos show Bellagio from a ferry and the morning view from our balcony - you can see the pool and gardens.

I had to come home.

Without doubt the best place I have stayed in Lake Como and even Italy. The photographs do not do the place justice. It is a life affirming experience, a few minutes from everything you could ever need. I can honestly say it changed the way I see the world. It made me a better man. Just. Go.

Views are incredibly stunning! You have almost the entire view of lake como, bellagio, cadenabbia and menaggio. Plenty of room outside to roam around and to read and sip on your morning coffee with that amazing view. There is also a very nice pool and apartment was spacious equipped with a kitchen, nice bathroom and bedroom. It is also only a 30min walk from the centre of bellagio. I would highly recommend il poggio di bellagio - you can easily make a holiday of just staying at the accommodation.

When we had to leave.

This place is incredible! The pictures really do not do it justice. You can be in Bellagio centre in 15 mins walking (some steep paths & steps) but it feels like you are a million miles away from everything once there. The peaceful surroundings are just superb and you can sit fir hours and watch the view of the lake. Excellent pool overlooking the lake. Plenty of space here, and the parking is a real added bonus as everything is safe and secure and lots of room to park. We spent a good half day round the pool and we ate one evening in the garden. Supermarket literally just down a very steep path and a coffee & cake shop 10 mins walk away. We stayed local eating only outside of the centre. Cant wait to return - this time for longer. Francesca was a super host and even when we locked ourselves out of the room she was able to sort it out straight away.
