Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mazzola! The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking – waking up to the stunning scenery every morning was a true highlight. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The entire place had a very cozy and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotless. The pool was small but very tidy – I really enjoyed sunbathing while sitting on the edge. Casa Mazola – casa piena di amore e tranquillità.

NorwayOur stay at Casa Mazzola was absolutely wonderful. The view from our room and the terrace was fabulous, and the surroundings were cozy and beautifully decorated with Luigi’s unique and inspiring artwork, adding a special charm to the entire atmosphere. The breakfasts were exceptional, delicious and prepared with great care. Luigi and Ugo were fantastic hosts. Their genuine hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Luigi gave us fantastic tips for visiting the Amalfi Coast, Capri, and Pompeii, helping us make the most of our time and discover places we might have otherwise missed. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay and are deeply grateful to Luigi and Ugo for making our holiday such a memorable experience. It was truly an unforgettable stay, and we wholeheartedly recommend Casa Mazzola!

United KingdomNothing, it was perfect!
The B&B was perfect! It is up the hill from the main busy road that connects Sant'Agnello to Sorrento so at night it was incredibly quiet - I couldn't believe how well I slept. There is a bus that stops right outside the B&B that takes you both down the hill to Sant'Agnello (then Sorrento is an easy flat 20 minute walk) and up the hill to Colli di Fontanelle (we had amazing pizza at Stelluccia and gelato from Bar Gelateria recommended by Ugo and Luigi). They will also pick you up and drop you off in Sant'Agnello if the bus is not feasible for you. Ugo, Luigi and Daniela were all fantastic hosts, they made us feel so welcome. Ugo answered every single question I had on WhatsApp very quickly giving me plenty of recommendations and helping when we needed dropping off and picking up in Sant'Agnello. Luigi picked us up and dropped us off as well as giving us plenty of local recommendations too - we didn't eat a bad meal here! Daniela also ensured our room was always clean and made our drinks at breakfast (the coffee is divine!). The B&B has such a stunning view and the pool is a great amenity. We couldn't believe how peaceful if was and never got tired of the view, we could sit out there for hours! Breakfast was also amazing with homemade items every single day as well as plenty of locally sourced options too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, everything was perfect and I can see why they have consistently high reviews.

Beautiful, quiet location with wonderful views. Friendly, helpful hosts who provided really useful sightseeing tips and an on-demand shuttle service into the town when the (very regular and cheap buses) weren’t running. Exceptionally good breakfasts, which included freshly prepared local produce. The quirky artwork produced by the talented Luigi that decorates the rooms and terraces was the perfect finishing touch. We can’t wait to come back!

United KingdomAn absolutely perfect place to stay. Family run. Luigi and Ugo are the best hosts ever. Nothing too much trouble. Luigi so helpful with directions, maps, bus routes a font of all knowledge. Only 9 rooms, however if you want peace and quiet, stunning views. Easy access to everywhere by the very cheap buses. 1.50 - 2.00 euro at the time of writing, then Caza Mazzola is the place to stay . About an hour by car/taxi from Naples. You can get the train too. Highly highly recommend. 5 stars!!!

The breakfast was delicious, fresh and tasty. There are fantastic local restaurants in the are (you can go by bus or car/scooter). Mr. Luigi and his son are extraordinary!!!! Nice, funny and make you feel like home. They gave us a lot of tips and good advices for our trips to Amalfi coast and Capri. ALL VERY HELPFUL(like parkings and more). We loved everything about Casa Mazzola, the location, the art (even after 10 days we kept finding more of Luigi’s creations), the hosts Luigi and Ugo are 2 of the nicest humans we’ve ever met, the breakfast was tutto perfetto (those little boiled eggs, so yummy) and just the general vibe. It was a super chilled and welcoming, calm and quiet little place with the most beautiful panoramic views.

United KingdomRoom could do with a few more home comforts- was adequate but a bit basic compared to others on our trip. Eg bathroom was very ‘compact’ and whilst view was excellent room could have done with a bit more privacy.
Peaceful location and hosts Luigi and Ugo were excellent. They provided a welcome drink on arrival, ferried us to a local family run restaurant, booked trips for us and recommended rotes and car parks we would not otherwise have known about. In short they made our short visit an excellent time.

United KingdomWe needed to use shuttle bus to get down the hill due to no pathway on a windy road. It wasn't so bad once we got used to it tho and if you missed the last one then either ugo or Luigi would pop down and get you.
Amazing stay. Beautiful quiet place with fantastic views. Luigi and Ugo are brilliant hosts. Very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and large with kitchen area and outside sitting area. Small pool, enough to cool down tho with great views. This place was so peaceful we sat in the garden area and felt we were in our own private villa.

When Ugo picked us up at the San Agnello train station, I knew from the moment he said hello, with a beautiful smile, that now we were family. When we arrived at Casa Mazzola and saw the location of this beautiful place on top of the mountain, with the most incredible view of the Amalfi coast and the sea, I needed to pinch myself.
