It has no private parking, so you have to park in the parking garage which is not that close to the apartment, and quite expensive. You will have to carry all of the baggage through the city which is quite inconvenient. The windows in the living room are very big, which is nice during the day, but in the morning it can get very bright very soon. Be sure to bring sleeping mask, if there will be fifth person sleeping on the sofa.

The apartment was big enough for 5 people. It has AC in every room which is very appreciated during hot summer. The small balcony has a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen was equipped with essentials (salt, pepper, oil...) so you don't have to worry about bringing this with you.

I didn’t care for the dangerous 2 flights of stairs up to the entry. Could be very dangerous for people without the strength or balance to navigate with luggage. Also the 2 bedrooms are on the lower level but one bathroom is on the lower and one is on the upper level. The wooden staircase is very creaky and loud. There is no way to walk up to the kitchen or 2nd bath without waking everyone. The showers are phone booth size but that’s pretty typical from my experience. The internet service and WiFi is terrible here and through the area.

Stairs+outside challenging inside noisy with no handrail- Perhaps you should caution older adults about the strain presented...we are 82, 56, and 50...all in daily good shape but website did not prepare us for the challenging stairs Kitchen not really set up for food prep - no measuring vessels and only one kitchen towel. Musty smell downstairs that was mitigated by dehumidifiers but not solved Couch needs work... cushions move away from back of sofa, showing bed underneath when you sit down

Couch and chair were significantly stained and covering them with a blanket was deceptive, stairs are super noisy and creaky no matter where you step, and right over the bedroom.

Stairs to the property were steep and as the train was not operational and arriving by ferry, the stairs in the town to get to this property are brutal.

Excellent location in the centre of Varenna, close to restaurants, waterfront and ferry. Very comfortable, good size, well equipped. Lovely view across Lake Como.

The steps to the apartment are steep and narrow - even for Varenna. This was more noticeable when carrying luggage. The apartment sleeps 6, but there's really only enough seating (dining, balcony, sofa) for 4 at a time. Even though it's a spacious apartment, with a family of 5 we missed that extra seat when chilling out or eating.

Location!!! Right in the heart of Varenna. Very spacious and clean. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were great. Beds and bedrooms were excellent - very comfortable and big. Wardrobes and drawers were also generously proportioned. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the sofa is a double sofabed. Lots of natural light upstairs with a really nice view of the lake from the living room / balcony. Was also very quiet and peaceful even though virtually in the center of town. Good WiFi, TV , fridge, washing machine, pod coffee machine etc. everything was catered for.

Not to do with the property, but be aware of city tax to be paid on arrival. Stairs are loud so be aware if travelling with children & trying not to wake them up.

Great stay! Enjoyed our stay at Casa Manoli for a group of 5 heading to a wedding. Beds were comfortable, including pull-out bed (although very bright in the morning's & church bells might wake you up). As in other reviews, the stairs are very load so be aware of waking your roommates up at night, but wasn't an issue for us. Location was perfect, right beside the square with a small local shop and lovely bakeries & hotels. Very short walk from the waterfront & other amenities. Great view from the apartment. Staff were very friendly at reception & check out was no problem. TV you can use to cast from your phone or laptop. Kitchen stocked with the basics.

The stairs up to the apartment are treacherous, especially while carrying luggage. The elevator in the photo does not work. There is a steep, winding staircase in the apartment which loudly squeak, no hand rail. Do not stay here if you have even mild mobility issues. The couch and blue chair are so dirty we did not sit on them.

Great location in Varenna. The apartment was clean and has many amenities in the kitchen. The washer/dryer machine was appreciated to wash our sweaty clothes. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. Good bath towels.

There's not much to not like about this apartment If you don't like stairs you may find the steps leading to the front door a challenge but Varenna and Lake Como are full of stairs so it wasn't a worry for us. Loved this apartment.

This is a lovely, light and very well appointed apartment in the main area of Varenna. Close to restaurants and the waterfront, we loved the terrace with its beautiful view of the lake. Comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms; one with a washing machine that was definitely appreciated. Very clean and well maintained. Check-in was very easy with the reception right across the road. The staff were very helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay here again.
