Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing!!! Everything and everyone was fantastic. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to Gianluca, Lizette and the rest of the staff for an excellent stay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and bathroom. Excellent, delicious breakfast. Location is convenient for Vatican and 1 block from metro, so easy to get to the rest of Rome.

IsraelBreakfast is a bit disappointing - something between modest and adequate. There is something gloomy about pre-packed, individual rations of cheese and ham, pre-cooked, refrigerated hard boiled eggs, the most basic, thin slices of white bread, and fruit juice from a carton. (To be fair, the choice is a little wider, including, for example, the Italian traditional cakes and pastries, some yogurts etc.). Again, this is reflected in the price, but, to be honest, I would have gladly paid another 10 Euros per night to get a more inviting, happier breakfast. Same goes for the toiletries provided in the bathroom (very basic). The room could do with a proper table/desk and a couple of more useful chairs, as well as some more storage and a suitcase stand. As it is, it's a bit sparse for a week's stay. Finally, take into account that there is no public space except for the small breakfast room, no reception, and indeed, no physical presence of staff (except for the cleaning lady in the late morning). On the other hand, Sabrina is always available on WhatsApp and always happy to help. I have to stress that Casa Leoncino seems to be run with love and care, so my comments here are only meant as suggestions for improvement!
Casa Leoncino is a very small B&B - only 4 rooms - which makes it private and quiet. The location is unbeatable - a few minutes walk from the Spanish stairs, and within easy walking distance to most major attractions in the historical center of Rome. Sabrina, the lady who runs the place, as well as her colleague Silvia, are very lovely and helpful. All communications before and during my one-week visit were efficient, clear and friendly. Sabrina arranged private transport from and to the airport, gave me helpful tips for good restaurants in the area, and on one or two occasions booked a table for me. Thanks to Sabrina and Silvia I managed to avoid tourist traps and enjoy some really nice lunches and dinners. My room (no. 2) was quite spacious, very clean, pleasantly decorated, with a comfortable bed, well lit and airconditioned. The bathroom is modern, very clean, with a good, spacious shower. The room also had a small fridge, a safe and a modern TV. While not cheap (after all, we are in the heart of Rome's historical center), it is certainly more affordable than most, if not all, the good quality 3-4 star hotels in this area. Naturally, the moderate pricing comes with a few buts or cons - see below.

United KingdomThe water in our shower took a while to heat and the pressure was quite low.
Very nice and clean, comfortable bed and tasty breakfast that is self serve but excellent choice. Excellent location and near all the attractions, a great place to stay and walk from - whilst also not being in too loud an area.

United KingdomBeautiful location right opposite fendi / zuma / h&m everything! Inside is very clean smells amazing. Bed was very comfortable bedding was clean. Bathroom was very modern and easy to use and spacious loved it. Sabrina was super helpful from the time I arrived she showed and explained everything all until how I use the taps! :) very helpful person thanks. The only only downside is you hear everything from above you behind you next door to you. Walls aren’t soundproof at all. Under doors have gaps you hear everything everyone is doing in kitchen area hall area. You hear someone flushing toilet you hear people walking above. But this is usually noticeable when everyone’s up and about and you crash at night anyway so shouldn’t really bother you. I didn’t touch my breakfast and wasn’t interested as it’s not the stuff I eat. The iron was quiet old but did the job Other than these factors if I came to Rome again in the future I’ll be staying here and recommending.

SlovakiaNot comfortable bed - it was too soft, noise from the street and also from other rooms/other floors. Poor breakfast - only toast, some small bag of cheese and ham, boiled egg and some cake. Better option is to buy outside some foccacia or croissant

NetherlandsThe only downside was that breakfast was served in a communal open space, but fortunately, we could also eat in our room. The breakfast selection was excellent.
My stay at Casa Leoncino B&B exceeded my expectations. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was fantastic. The location was great and easy to reach. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

United StatesGoing through unlocking 3 huge doors to get to the room is painful but I think that is usual for any apartments in Europe I guess.. It’s just that in cold opening those humongous doors was a bit pain
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Leoncino B&B! The place is spotless, charming, and beautifully decorated. Its prime location is just a 2-minute walk to the Spanish Steps, surrounded by numerous shops and dining options. Sylvia and Greta were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast selection was okay, but milk, juice, and coffee were readily available. An added bonus is the convenient luggage storage after check-out. Highly recommend this lovely B&B!

United StatesThe location of this B&B was perfect. The famous sights such as the Colosseum, the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and so many more are all within walking distance (25 minutes or less). I loved the fact that Sabrina was there to greet us and advise us on any questions we had, since this was our first time in Rome. Even though the B&B was in the city center, we found it to be very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good and enjoyable.

New ZealandHad a small issue trying to figure out the hot water in the shower and with the water pressure but was resolved. (Also Silvia told me they usually only heat the hot water to 40 degrees here so not piping hot.) Watch out for the small step up in the bathroom too!
Beautiful room in amazing location right in the heart of Rome, 5 mins walk to Piazza di Spagna, 10-15 mins walk to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Venezia, Villa Medici, Piazza del Popolo etc. Loved the window seats for people watching near the fancy shopping st Via dei Condotti. They catered wonderfully to our gluten free and dairy free needs for breakfast. We were met by a lovely girl Silvia who was so warm and friendly and gave us some good tips on where to eat. Also they offer "courtesy keys" to the bn'b's entrance hall so can leave your bags there after checkout if you still have time to spend in Rome before catching a train or flight. The host Sabrina was great to communicate with, very clear and informative and helpful, shame we didn't get to meet her in person.
