How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

had to walk a distance to get to restaurants and cafes
comfortable, clean, good security. shared kitchen was amazing and stocked every day. walking distance to everything and the tram stopped right out the front.

Nothing…we had an excellent stay!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at CASA IVH BNB. They have thought of everything to make your stay just perfect. We loved the ability to help ourselves to snacks/ beverages in the kitchen area and they also provided coffee, tea, juice, milk and snacks in the room. There was an iron & ironing board in the closet, which was so helpful! They also had toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush & small toothpaste, shower caps, hairdryer. The space was very clean and comfortable. The AC worked well and was much appreciated during our summer travels! Directions for self check-in were clear and communication was excellent before and during our stay. The location couldn’t have been better! The tram stop was a 1 minute walk from the door! It was a very easy walk to all of the sites of the city that we wanted to visit. We will definitely choose CASA IVH BNB for our future travels to Florence!

This hotel is in a great location, very close to the city center and basically a straight road there. Everything is within walking distance and there is a Tram station right across the street that takes you straight to the SMN station. The hotel was super accommodating, had great communication, staff responded quickly and was very helpful, and had great amenities. Perfect if you are staying as a family, that may need to use the kitchen. The hotel room itself was super clean and had extra snacks and bathroom supplies inside. Overall great stay! I’d definitely recommend to anyone coming to Florence.

Our room was facing the street which turned out to be quite noisy at times, especially the tram directly in front.
The room was spacious and nicely decorated. All neccessary facilities were provided and the two chairs next to one of the windows were a nice addition. We didn't use the common kitchen or lounge but everything looked clean and nice to us. Really nice restaurants in the area which is a little bit further from the tourist center (yet still reachable by foot).

There were some minor maintenance issues that needed to be address. One of the towels pegs in the bathroom was loose and falling out of the wall. The safe in the room was old and one of the buttons didn't always work. The pillows were a bit lumpy and probably were at the end of the useful life. The shower door didn't move smoothly.
Great location--right next to the tram stop and a 20-minute walk to most major attractions in the city. It was also on a quiet street. the room was fairly large.

One thing I didn’t like was the sounds from outside, specially the trum which is in front of the building. It was a bit annoying.
The location was perfect, just 10 minutes from the center. The place was really clean and the staff were helpful. Also the instructions of check in and check out were smooth and clear.

Right by the road so could hear traffic noises and people talking as they walked past. The shower felt a bit flimsy and the shower head holder dropped when trying to attach shower back on. If you're a rather large person, manoeuvre carefully as the shower stall door can be nudged accidentally and would fold outwards which means water can then spray out to the rest of the bathroom. Bed was too soft for our taste and pillows also felt rather thin. Maybe this is our personal preference.
Literally 1 min from tram stop - so convenient! Appreciated the Aircon as air felt a little stuffy with windows were closed but turning it on made things comfortable. Glad fridge and kettle was provided as we used this to store some foodstuffs and make tea. Staff gave clear instructions on how to check in and provided cash and online option for city tax payment. Perfect for one night stay!

I appreciate the gesture, but I'm not a fan of all the processed sweets and snacks. Would have preferred some yougurt.

While the hosts can't be faulted for the noise of the trams, it is quite noisy. They do provide ear plugs. Also, there was a lot of light that shown into the room from the street and we hadn't been aware of the blackout blinds until after our stay. The manager took note to make the signs/instructions more prominent. The issue is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem and trying to figure out the blinds in the middle of the night is challenging.
Location in the city was great and room was simple but had everything needed. Appreciated the snacks and drinks that were available.
