Polonia1 comentarioExcepcional10/10 its really a place to come back to. The location of Casa Irene is really great because a shop is 5 minutes away and a really nice restaurant is near. The owner Giorgio is really helpfull and has picked us up from the station. I enjoyed my stay very much and recommend it to everyone.

You get your own house with the perfect view of lake como, it was perfect for me. The house is spacious, it is equipped with everything you want. And the owner is of the coolest and helpful person we met. Research before you book beacuse you depend on the bus or a 2km hike to get to varenna.

Australia22 comentarios3 votos útiles“Wonderful location and host Giorgio, everything you need at accommodation. Would recommend”We waited for the bus over 1.5 hr on 2 separate occasions and it never came. We had to walk into Varenna which was difficult along rd & old path.
The views were wonderful and a short walk to bar Milano for coffee or snack.

Austria41 comentarios9 votos útiles“Nice apartement with a beautiful veiw”The only disadvantage is the transportation to downtown if you do not use a car. The bus comes once per hour. You can get down by shortcuts (~30 min) and once I got back (40 minutes).
Helpful and friendly host, nice apartment with a beautiful view. You have all what you need to stay near Varenna. Car parking (Giorgio provided the parking card) and supermarket are nearby ~5-8 minutes of walking.

Australia9 comentarios“Great place, very affordable and was just perfect.”Nothing except the walk up the hill took a toll if the bus wasn’t running. I’d recommend to always check the bus schedule next to the train station!
The property had breathtaking views with a nice little balcony. Giorgio picked us up and dropped us back to the station which was a great surprise.

Alemania8 comentarios1 voto útilExcepcionalNothing! Just a few tips: 1. Zig zag narrow roads are tough to drive but ultimately was a good fun. Prefer small cars if you rent. 2. Parking is tough to find in this area. We were lucky to find the one at 4-5mins from the apartment. However, if you don't find a parking, don't loose heart. There are a few place around but after parking try to take pedesterian path to the apartment and not the road because this path is much shorter (Google map doesn't help here very well but ask locals or the host). 3. Buggies/Strollers are not recommended if you want to take the pedesterian path. Roads and fine for it.
As a family of five (2 adults, 3 kids) we stayed there for four nights. Our experience was exceptionally wonderful. A cozy small apartment with the lake view and with almost all facilities available (except: air conditioning, however, a fan is available and was sufficient for us in the month of August with around 27°C day temperature.). Reachability of the apartment is also very convenient; 10-15mins drive to Varenna train and ferry station and bus stop is directly below the apartment. The host Giorgio is very friendly, helpful and professional. He helped us a couple of times out of the way. As a whole Perledo is a nice small town, giving you a real feel of the lake and typical life-style of the local area.

This is a wonderful accommodation with an incredible view of the lake and the mountains. The apartment is very clean, and the owner is very attentive and pleasant. Very comfortable stay. There is a parking space for our car. The apartment has everything you need: dishes, washing machine, towels, hairdryer and much more, which made our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Beautiful view of the lake, very comfortable, peaceful and quiet, and with lovely walking paths to Varenna, the castle and all the towns. it felt like a home away from home! The host, Georgio was very kind and helpful, he picked me up from the station to drive me to the apartment and drove me back down to the station when I left. I would highly recommend Casa Irene. I enjoyed my stay there very much.

The value for location was great other than transportation. Arriving by train it is about 3,5 km uphill from the station. The owner happily picked us up otherwise a cab cost 15€. The bus is great but doesn't run on Sunday and it's last run up the hill is at 5,40 so it's a short day unless you have a cab. The owner and his apartment with a nice view was awesome though
