Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe air conditioner, I think is a little undersized for the size of the room. We had a hard time cooling the room down to make it comfortable to sleep. It was +40 during the day so that added to it I think, but it would've been nice if we could've made the room cooler.
It is a beautiful property in the perfect location. The restaurant was open only one evening that we were there of the three due to some private events. So we ate there one night and the food was wonderful. Easy to get to and close to everything

Perfect place if you want to get away, enjoy the countryside and the nice views. The rooms and larger than expected, clean and the bathroom is great. It was nice to have a terrace outside. It is a family owned hotel and the owners are friendly and very helpful.

FranceThe host only speaks Italian and won't even try to speak to you if you don't (either she doesn't like foreigners or she doesn't like having guests, not sure). AC was vastly insufficient in the room (and the host would turn it off the moment you leave the room), we struggled to have lower than 29°C in the bedroom, the bathroom doesn not have AC and was easily 35°C, same for the breakfast room and the restaurant. The bathroom was poorly designed (towels far from the shower, hot water coming after a loooong wait etc.). The room was barely furnished and the "lake" was an artificial pond that is an eye sore. None of it would matter too much if the price reflected it. But the price is similar to a 4* hotel and one the most expensive in the area....

United StatesToo many bugs in the room. and lizards and geckos outside the room made the stay creepy. The bed was not comfortable since mattress was dunked down. The bathroom could use towel rack near shower. The owners didn’t speak English and didn’t understand it. Had to google translate each time. Wish they can keep foreigners in mind or write it in description.
The owners were really nice and accommodating with good breakfast
