This stay is owned by a family and you can tell because they make you feel apart of theirs. I couldn’t fault this stay. It was my favourite by far. Friendly staff, clean rooms, free breakfast with a beautiful view (the Croissant’s are amazing), Great location town is just a 10 min walk down a hill and they have a bus shuttle that runs after 7pm to get a lift back up so it’s perfect. We also had dinner at their restaurant there and that was a great option if you don’t want to go into town and stay local. We loved staying in the guesthouse by the pool having some spritz and patting their dog pipo! (Who is the goodest boy) Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Very attentive and personal service from Rita and her staff, which made us feel so welcome during our stay. Lovely clean and well appointed room in the courtyard with plenty of loungers, jacuzzi and pool. Really nice continental breakfast provided every day with a lovely selection of items, with the added bonus of gorgeous scrambled eggs. Rita also arranged transport from and to the railway station for us and be aware of the great addition of a free bus from Varenna train station every night from 1900 to 0000hrs (every 20mins)....saves a walk up the hill at night! Massive thanks to Rita for making our stay so special. We`ll be back!

It would be nice if there was milk in the room, to go along with the English breakfast tea. Perhaps a loaf of bread for breakfast could be included.

Rita and co really do as much as they can for you during your stay. The location was incredible, the breakfast was great and the hotel dog really made the place a home away from home. The room we stayed in had everything we needed, including a fridge, iron, kettle and a bottle of wine! 😁 The walk down to Varenna is manageable, with lots of little breaks for the knees, but the walk up could be challenging for some. A car was arranged free of charge for our collection from the train station, and there is a shuttle bus that's also free that ran after 7PM. As and when we return to the lake, we shall be rebooking here.

Little gem in Perledo, with stunning views over the lake and the surrounding area, and a short walk to Varenna. Rita, and staff, were very accommodating and warm. We were picked up by a taxi in the train station, and we could check-in earlier and leave our suitcases in the room. We felt that we could have stayed way more than 2 nights if time allowed!

Great spot to get away for a quiet weekend. This spot is up above Como with incredible views from the little village. Very nice to get away from the touristic places while still having great access to pop down into different towns along the lake.

Rita, the host, was lovely. Communication was fast and any questions answered swiftly. The accommodation was lovely, clean and all facilities very good. Quiet and peaceful. Breakfast in the morning was good. Castle Vezio deserves a visit, the views from there are stunning. Thank you.

Excellent hotel up in the hills of Varenna, very peaceful and I can imagine it's an Ideal location in the busy months away from the main town. Rita was the perfect hostess, very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was fantastic and the room was perfect and a great size, would highly recommend. My friend and I only stayed one night so feel that we couldn't appreciate it as much as we would have liked! It's a steep climb up cobbles to the top but we enjoy a challenge! Just be careful as very slippery in the wet! Rita kindly offered for us to be picked up from the station or you can get a taxi 😊 Also a short walk up to the castle which is well worth a visit for the history and stunning views

I found it convenient since we traveled by car. However, if you have a lot of big luggage, it might be a bit inconvenient. To reach the hotel, you need to walk a little, which we actually enjoyed as it was great exercise for us. 😊

A wonderful place to stay when visiting Varenna. The room was excellent—spacious, clean, and equipped with a washing machine, which is especially convenient for long trips like us when you need to do some laundry. The breakfast was good, and the lady at reception was very kind and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the trail walk down the hill to Varenna town, where I discovered an amazing restaurant. Walking back up trail to the hotel after dinner was an unforgettable experience

Great little hotel. Rita and the staff went the extra mile for us, picking us up from the station and organising transport back to the hotel in the evening. Everything you need is in the room. The location is up near the castle which has great views.

- Nothing as such. - Good to check: There is a walking path to Varenna city, but if you are with baby strollers or with walking issues, then its almost not possible to take that route. It has stairs & cobble stones. - Logistically, try to book Taxi's in advance as there are only 3-4 taxi's running around between the towns.

- Nice big & clean rooms. - Good breakfast. - Enjoyed Jaccuzzi & swimming pool with great views. - Host Rita was very helpful.

Rita & staff were super friendly!! Honestly it was so peaceful and relaxing to be there. After travelling around Paris and arriving in lake como. This was a great stop. Rita stayed late to check us in because our plane was later than expected check in time. Overall a great place to stay!

The staff at this property were lovely, from picking us up at the train station to booking our return taxi. The rooms were spacious, opposite the pool, with good aircon and great extras like a fridge, washing machine and clothes airer. The pool was heaven to come back to after a hard day’s sightseeing in the baking heat and the jacuzzi was very relaxing. Breakfast was fresh pastries, meats, cheeses, cereals etc and was great to set you up for the day. It’s a bit of a steep hill into town which takes around 15/20 mins and you’ll need good footwear for that. There is a free night bus available from the train station from 9.30pm to 11.30pm to get you back up the hill. All in all we loved our stay here and would like to thank Rita, Kirsty and the team for looking after us.
