Casa Cordati is a truly unique property in the best location. Giordano is a lovely host who looks after you well and is very kind and helpful. The casa is amazing. Extremely spacious and offers everything and more that you need. It has a beautiful art gallery with paintings by his grandfather and Giordano himself also paints There is a spectacular Altana in the roof space with beautiful murals on the wall and amazing views over Barga to the mountains and valley. Our apartment within the casa was huge and typically Italian, we loved it very much indeed. I also really enjoyed playing the piano in the hallway.

Amazing building and a private art gallery

We loved the preservation of the spirit of the palazzo, the exhibition of paintings and writings that gave perspective on Bruno Cordati and some family history, the spacious rooms and simple comforts that did not disrupt the antiquity. We had wonderful views into the town and mountains with good fresh air through open windows. The kitchen allowed us to cook and feel right at home.

The suite had everything to make one comfortable - a good bed, nice pillows, lots of light, temperature adjustment, clean linens, kettle, fridge, dishes, good shower, quiet, WiFi. It was right in Old Barga very close to a bus stop. The host provided anything that was missing and was readily available. The Pattiseria Lucchesi was great with lovely gluten-free pastries. I enjoyed strolling the old town, walking up to the cathedral, and walking in the valley park under the bridges. Villa Caproni had a very interesting photography exhibit and a kind, informative gallery host. It was rather cool and drizzly in Barga at the time and since Casa Cordati is a huge, old stone manor, some warm clothes were required.

Our host was fantastic and could not have been more welcoming or responsive. The building is fabulous with a gallery across many rooms. Our suite was made up of a huge bedroom with a separate small reading room, kitchenette and bathroom. We had everything we needed and more.

Nice host and interesting place with nice histore. Cleaning ok but could be better, too much dust. Equipment in the room was perfect, and absolutely value for money. I can warm recommend it.

If you are not a difficult person, everything will be to your liking.

Giordano is a most gracious host, who has thought of everything to make your stay as perfect as can be. It is immediately obvious that he is passionate about upholding his grandfather's life's work, through his offer of authentic guest rooms with fair prices. Staying here is like staying a night at the museum. Truly a gem.

Large, airy and individual apartment right in the heart of Barga Vecchia. Giordano is a very genial and helpful host. It is efreshing to stay in a unique space, surrounded by works of art.

Giordano the host was very friendly everything you need for a stay was available from cooking in the large kitchen Washing machine dish washer . The house was the family home for many years with paintings from Giordano,s Grand father a must see in the 3 floors of paintings . We will definitely stay again

- Hard to heat in winter. The heating is too loud to keep on at night, and temperatures fall quickly. - Summers might get very hot, since the room is directly under the roof. - People in the narrow alleyway can be surprinsingly noisy. - Families with children might worry about the low window sill.

Lovely place, lovely host. Huge room, great view. In terms of value for money, excellent!

Not much to complain about, though some might find the decor dated and the room a little disorganised. It's not your typical accommodation though so it didn't bother me.

Not your typical accommodation, but an amazingly unique space displaying the works of artist Bruno Cordati. Giordano Martinelli (the artist's grandson) was an accommodating yet non intrusive host. Very large room with extra chairs, sofa & dining table inside. Bed was comfortable (only used one of the three present). Water pressure in the bathroom was good. There were also large common areas to explore. Giordano gave permission to bring friends into the property to see the space & art. For musicians, there were also a few pianos which could be played at reasonable hours.

The floor in the room was a little dirty but apart from that everything was very well presented.

Access to the beautiful gallery space was one of the highlights of our trip. Casa Cordati had spacious rooms and was in a fantastic location. Our host was extremely attentive and provided everything we needed during our stay.
