It is situated slightly away from the main tourist centre but only 2 mins walk and it is beautifully kept and immaculately clean. Diana is lovely and makes you feel very welcome and leaves small gifts for you during your stay. I am so glad that I picked this location to stay

We loved everything from the 1st moment we met Diana our host. She is amazing and warm and kind!! The room was stunning and spotless. No dust anywhere. No dirt.. it truly was the cleanest and beautifully designed room ever. Diana is the most gracious and considerate person. It called for slight showers and she had umbrellas, both sizes, waiting near the door for everyone. And at night she had candles lighting our way back to her. Spectacular stay. A trillion out of 10. Thank you Diana.

Casa Contrada Bella offered it all. First the location is about 100 feet from the square down a quite, quaint alley. You could not ask for a better location. Second, our accommodation consisted of a 3 room apartment which was so inviting , comfortable, extremely clean, modern, and spacious. Third, the owners are so friendly and accommodating. They met us at the parking garage (I’ll talk about the parking in a minute) and helped us park in there own personal parking spot and walked us to the casa. Once at the Casa , Diana ( the owner ) showed us everything about the casa and explained the highlights of the town, the ferry schedule and told us about the hidden gems of Varenna. Parking, if you need a spot, mention in your request when you book. It is an added charge and off site but in Varenna all parking is off site since it is basically a no car town. You won’t need a car so it is nice to have it tucked away. Not a far walk to the Casa either. Our whole experience was wonderful in Varenna and at Casa Constrada Bella. We fell in love with the owners who truly added to our experience in Varenna. These accommodations come highly recommended by us and we feel so lucky to have chosen Casa Constrada Bella.

Immaculate and well appointed apartment in the centre of town. Walking distance to train station and ferry and close to a small beach. Plenty of places to eat nearby, including some with spectacular views of the Lake and surrounds. Diana is the best host ever. Excellent communication. Met us in the piazza on arrival and helped us during our stay whenever requested. We really felt like we were guests in her own home. Daily treats and a bottle of sparkling wine were much appreciated. We loved staying here. Highly recommended.

Perfect location in Varenna - this is where you want to be in town. The manager was extremely friendly, and very helpful with suggestions, planning activites and general assistance. Super clean, spacious and comfortable!

The property does not have a view towards the lake. But there is no problem. We would definitely choose this accommodation once again even without lake view because of its cleanness, modern refining and closeness.

This accommodation is outstanding! The host lady is extremely respectful and helpful, explains everything, she was waiting for us with some prosecco, sweets and water bottles in the room. The accommodation is very good located. 30 seconds to "Municipio", the main square of Varenna (and two grocery stores), 1-2 minutes to the lake edge and its restaurants. 3-4 minutes to ferry or train station. The place is very recent refurbished and they paid a lot of attention to details and extra-discrete pleasant lights in the room. We had the room with balcony, the balcony being located above the path which led to the romantic place of the lake-edge.

This accommodation is perfect it every way. It’s beautiful, charming and comfortable. It’s ideally located next to the square, close to Villa Cipressi and Villa Monastero, as well as the harbour of the gorgeous Varenna. Perfect location, quiet street, spotlessly clean and fantastic host. Diana was extremely attentive and helpful from the moment of booking, offering restaurant recommendations, and even booking our dinner reservations for each night. This was a great help, and made our trip even more enjoyable, as Varenna is only small, booking ahead was necessary to ensure we got to eat at the places we wanted too. Every detail thought off, and every need catered too. Would definitely recommend and return, thank you Diana.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Contrada Bella!! The apartment was spotless and in a fantastic location. It was cleaned daily. Diana was an excellent host. She helped us arrange transport to and from the airport. She was also very helpful in providing us with tips for things to do along the Lake, providing us with maps of the area and ferry timetables. We loved our stay here and would 100% return again.

Our stay at Casa Contrada Bella was wonderful! Our room was spacious, clean, and very cozy. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Varenna. Everything in the town is nearby, and the small beach swimming area is just down the street from the hotel. It is a quick walk to the ferry if you plan to visit other towns on the lake. Diana was an amazing host! She greeted us on the main square upon our arrival, gave us helpful tips and info, and always ensured that we had everything we needed in our room. Prior to our stay, she also helped us book restaurant reservations in advance, which was much needed in the peak travel season. Varenna is beautiful and has easy train and ferry access. It gets busy in the day, so it was lovely to experience the town in the quiet of the mornings and evenings by staying there. We highly recommend Varenna and Casa Contrada Bella!

Very charming, beautiful apartment in the very center of Varenna, the place where you feel immediately so much welcome!! Each detail in house is full of great taste! When we arrived the bottle of prosecco was waiting for us in the fridge, as well as juices and water. Each evening when we came back to the apartment two candle lights were lit and welcoming us outside of the entrance. So sweet!! Everything was just perfect in this beautiful apartment, but the biggest impression was made by the warm and personal hospitality of Diana, our hostess. So full of attention, so helpful and sweet, so great with the best advices!! Probably the best hostess we’ve ever met! Thank you dearest Diana! We hope to be back one day!!

Everything was perfect….

We would highly recommend Casa Contrada Bella for your trip to Varenna on Lake Como. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very quiet and comfortable while right in the centre of this beautiful ancient village. Leaving the front door and turning left you are less than 1 minuets walk to the lake while turning right you are 30 seconds walk from the magnificent ancient village square with its mix of historic buildings and restaurants. Our host Diana was fantastic! You would have to travel a long way to meet a more caring and professional host. From the moment we booked our stay Diana we in contact checking to make sure we knew where we were going, helping us with a taxi and even meeting the taxi at the village square to greet us. Diana made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrive to the moment we left and simply couldn’t do enough to ensure we got the most from our stay at her lovely apartment. A truly genuine and lovely lady who shows exceptional care and attention to detail with her guests making our stay all the more relaxing and enjoyable.
