I suggest to add a sunshade for thr balcony so you can enjoy sitting out there all day long. By the afternoon you have direct sunlight and it gets very hot on the bslcony on s sunny day.

Lovely hostess who met us in the town square to walk to the property, the apartment is air-conditioned and well equipped, very tastefully furnished and the view is stunning!!

Just the steepness of the stairs going in and out of the apartment.

We were here last week of June 2024 and our family of three (including our 21 months little tornado) have had a comfortable and wonderful stay. The father and son duo (Mr. Giorgio and Alberto) were very nice. They even picked us up in the train station of Varenna. The place was clean. The facility was ok. We did not have problem with the AC and water. The location were perfect. Only few steps away from tourist spots of Varenna and restaurants. Mr. Giorgio even gave a small brown owl figurine for my little one as a souvenir, when we visit him in one of their shops in IL Pazzo. I highly recommend this place.

The view from the balcony is amazing, a great place to people watch and just take in the ever changing view. The apartment is located in the heart of beautiful Varenna but close to the ferry terminal, and train station. The owner Giorgio couldn’t have been more helpful.

Our bed was very hard (for old grandparent bones). The other bed that my son and wife used had a better mattress.

The location is exceptional. The balcony is on the water and while small, it was great to be able to watch the ferries and boats come and go and fishermen every morning. Easy walk to the ferry dock and lots of restaurants nearby. We were traveling with 9 mo. old granddaughter and Alberto brought us a high chair to use. The pillows are fantastic,

Excellent location. Great views. Right above the bat Gelato in town. Alberto was a great host. Helped us with the taxi from Milan. We saw spectacular fireworks right from our balcony. We will come again!!

The property hosts were really friendly and helpful. They organised to pick us up from the train station and then showed us around the town, pointing out their favourite places to eat, drink and shop. The location was perfect, with an unobstructed view of the lake. We were in Varenna at a really busy time, so we often just sat in the room with a drink and some food and enjoyed the food and the calming vibe.

The stairs and hot water occasionally took some time to heat up for showers. Would have been good to know in advance for planning.

We had to clean out the shower drain as it was not draining properly; this may need to be checked periodically.

We thoroughly enjoyed Varenna, Lake Como, and the Casa Balcony. The Casa Balcony has beautiful views of the lake.

There was no heating when the weather turned cold. We were freezing! The air conditioning did not heat the apartment; looked like the filters needed cleaning as they were covered in dust. There was only enough hot water for one person to have a shower. Had to wait for it to reheat and then it ran cold while washing my hair. The furniture is very dated. Not enough power points. The photos of the balcony show it covered in wisteria but it is no longer there. The upside of this is that the view of the lake is unobstructed.

The view and location were excellent as it is right on the lakefront. The host met us at the train station and drove us as near to the apartment as possible. He helped take our luggage to the apartment which involved dragging suitcases over cobble stone laneways and stairs and then a staircase to the first floor. The apartment is easy walking distance to restaurants and the ferry wharf.
