Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWe were very disappointed with our experience at the restaurant. We had a reservation, but when we arrived there was no staff at the entrance, so we sat down at a free table. Shortly after, a waitress came and, in a very rude and inappropriate manner, loudly told us in front of everyone to leave and wait at the door. This ruined the entire atmosphere and mood of the evening. In addition, the salmon steak I ordered was undercooked, and when my child asked for a burger without sauces, we were told it was impossible, and it was served with sauce anyway. Unfortunately, the restaurant left us with a very unpleasant impression.
The reception staff were very attentive and polite. We had an issue with the air conditioning, and within 10 minutes everything was fixed. Excellent service!

United KingdomThe breakfast buffet was nice but quite limited. All the basics you’d expect were there but nothing exciting. Also, on one evening the man supervising the pool area was very grumpy, told the kids in the pool off for laughing/generally making kid noises and then took the pool toys away from them.
The hotel was a bit dated but it was clean and functional, we were looking for budget hotel and that’s what we got. Most staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do more to help. Loved the location, tucked away in a quieter area of town but still close to lots of shops, restaurants and bus routes.

Location close to a bus stop that goes straight into Rome, big room and swimming pool was nice despite being busy (understandably). The receptionists were friendly and there was a good car park.

United StatesNothing we didn’t really like.
We liked the room layout. We had a family room and that was nice. Good breakfast with a lot of options. Good restaurants, close to sights. We took a taxi to the coliseum and we walked from the Vatican to the hotel.

United StatesBeds were terrible. Bumpy with springs. Low to the ground. Room was incredibly small for a queen size bed. Over all room was very outdated. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Hair dryer took forever to dry my hair. Paper thin walls and we heard everything. Elevator only could do two people at a time. But the biggest issue is that we were so far away from everything and the hotel is in a bad area of town. Bring bug spray because the hotel doesn't spray and you will get eaten alive.
The restaurant in the hotel was yummy! I liked the pool side snack bar and the pool area was nice. Front lobby had massage chairs for an extra cost. The front lobby employees were very sweet and helpful and the manager was very nice and helped us out with a bad issue. Our rooms were cleaned daily.

New ZealandI wish the pool had longer opening hours. In the summer it is still 30 degrees at 7pm, still two hours of daylight, when the pool closes for the day
It had a swimming pool! Need I say more! The included breakfast was fantastic. Staff were super helpful and could speak English which made it stress free. Oh did I mention it had jacuzzis too!?

United StatesI didn’t like that the kitchen to get food was closed in the middle of the day. Menu was the same for lunch and dinner and very limited.
The parking was convenient. The pool area was very relaxing and liked there was a pool bar. Loved the balcony and the view. The staff was very nice and helpful.

IrelandWhat could be improved: - The washrooms could be cleaner — while the room itself was decent, the bathroom hygiene didn’t quite meet expectations. - The TV setup wasn’t great, with limited channels and an outdated system. - The breakfast spread was quite limited, especially for guests expecting a more varied selection.
What I liked: - The service was very good — staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to help, which really enhanced the stay. - The pool and bar area were definite highlights — great spots to relax after a day of sightseeing. - The hotel is well-connected with easy access to buses and the Metro, making it convenient to explore the city.

United StatesThe staff did not display the "hotel" hospitality that the Hotel provided. They were un informed, not helpful, and displayed an attitude of no interest. It appeared that the management did not clearly direct the staff as to the services provided. We were told to go to one bar and when we asked for service, we were told to go to another and when we went to the pool bar as directed the staff person advised that he could not serve us!

United StatesThe shower space is okay however the draining system is not good. Often times the water is pooling on your feet. The hair dryer gets hot but hardly has no air flow. Also there are no slip mats on the shower floor which could post a danger. The restaurant food overpriced and mediocre on taste and variety of selection. We had a problem reaching front desk through our room phone (no one picks up our calls).
The rooms size was very good, the bed was comfortable and they served an excellent buffet breakfast with wide variety of choices that my family enjoyed. The bedrooms are quiet and no outside noise. Wi Fi connection speed is adequate but could be better.

AustraliaSafe box in our room is just a sitting piece of equipment. It does not work. No batteries within !!! We had to carry our passports all the time. On the last day of our stay in Rome on 1st June our passports got stolen while in public transport. I do not intend to blame the hotel for our passports getting stolen. But would like the hotel to ensure that all the safe lockers in their hotel rooms are functional. Just so that other guests do leave their passports in a working and lockable safe and not carry Passports around in the city and have the misfortune of having their passports stolen while in a foreign country. We have returned back to Australia via Paris with an emergency passport issued by our Embassy in Paris. But our holidays were ruined.

GermanyIt was dirty-ish and many things in the room were broken or not maintained well. They definitely should remove that anti-slip plastic in the bath, because that is disgusting. It feels like you are staying in someone else’s room, not a hotel room.
Walking distance to Vatican, nice breakfast, you can always find something to drink or eat anytime. Closed car parking garage.

AustraliaThe room decor seemed quite old. On pulling the curtain across, it came away because it was held up with Velcro. Perhaps there was a different way to close it but it wasn’t obvious to us.
It suited us for that night, but it was too far out of central Rome for us to stay again. The staff were very nice.

CroatiaBreakfast was really basic. The Tv in the room was in the wrong location what means impossible to watch plus covering half of the only mirror in the room. For three of us only one small soap bar, without shower gel and shampoo ( for three night). Had to call the reception. The balkony was separate from the other balkony just by flowers in the pot. Compromissing privacy and safety.
Location is good if you don't mind being 20 min by bus from down town. Free garage was a plus too.

LithuaniaTook the room for wheelchair user with a balcony, but it was not accessible for that person. In the room there is an additional toilet for disabled person, but had to go back to reception to ask to unlock it.
