How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All good so nothing to add here.
Capricci Romani is a real gem. From the moment we arrived, everything went according to plan. The place is excellent, but the standout was Dario. His warmth and great hosting truly made our trip perfect. Great recommendations for things to do and where to eat. A perfect choice for anyone visiting Rome.

It was more of a B&B than hotel—but that was fine! Enjoyed the stay!
Great location near Vatican! Nice room with a kitchen area next to our room for continental breakfast. Very friendly woman in charge. Very helpful at setting up transportation. Near many things such as great restaurants and shopping.

Mary was awesome, extremely kind and professional. We felt at home! The property is in perfect location, walking distance to main monuments. Wonderful kitchenette where complimentary breakfast was provided. We will come back!

I wish the bathroom door was stronger to prevent water from coming out.
Tha location is so good and it is very safe staying here. We can see police officers with guns just few hundreds meters away at night. The shared kitchen is very lovely and I love the air condioner and fridge in our room.

Our room was on the 4th floor. The elevator worked…sometimes.
The staff was wonderful and responded quickly when we asked for a little help. We felt safe.

For the price that we took the room, it was amazing. The room and atmosphere is very cosy, clean and for couple it’s amazing. Also, we didn’t expect coffee, nice breakfast and really clean rooms.

The matresses had a huge slit in between. The walls were very(!) thin, so you’d hear everything.
Very central apartments, there is a kitchen you can use if needed!

Beautiful clean room in a nice location, warm, quiet and comfortable in every aspect. Really kind all the people working there!! Thank you Mrs Mary for everything! Also they were really kind and kept our luggage as our flight was later than the check out time. Total value for money!!

Loved location; despite small room, it had everything we needed and fit all our stuff. We thought it was a smart way to make multiple accommodations in an apt. Rooms were soundproof from each other. Netflix available was a great touch for down time. Highly recommend!

You can hear in the mornings the other guests in the hotel.
Very clean and very good location. Safe to walk at night. Offering you Coffee and croissants for free. The staff is really really nice, trying to offer you the best stay in city

Room was a little bit on the small side, but totally understandable as it is a big city…
It was a very good location if you want to be near the Vatican and St. Peter’s Square. There’s a great gelateria, bakery and quaint little market on the same block…good restaurants nearby - especially La Soffitta (7-minute walk). There’s a cute little kitchen with a larger fridge, Nespresso coffee, tea and fresh croissants available to guests in the morning. The staff - Vanessa and Mary were lovely … very communicative and get lots of great suggestions in the neighborhood. They always responded quickly.

The location is fantastic (right next to Borgo Pio) and facilities are very clean and comfortable. Our room had a brilliant shower and most importantly an excellent memory foam bed.

I didn't mind it but some might ... you need to carry your suitcase up a set of stairs upon entry in order to reach the elevator. Loved the old classic elevator but would be important for some people to know that it is small and will not accomodate more than 2 people plus luggage. There isn't a traditional check in desk if you aren't available to check in at specific times but reception explained the process very well and made it easy to come in without seeing anyone. We had 3 in the room and it was very tight but we didn't spend much time there and the beds were comfortable so it was fine. The things we loved and enjoyed might not be for everyone. So, I recommend this place but perhaps not for those who prefer a more traditional hotel experience.
Very friendly staff and great communication. The room is clean and the beds were comfortable. There's air conditioning in the room that you can control and the bathroom is a nice size. The building feels safe as you need to get thru 2 coded doors and then a key to access your room. Fabulous location with easy access to Vatican City and Sant Angelo castle. Feels like you are staying at an apartment in the city.
