How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The area was dirty, grimy and a bit dodgy. The actual building is very dirty and poorly maintained, but the rooms for the accommodation were fairly clean and well maintained. The address given was not where the actual accommodation was situated. The room was in a building around the corner to which we were taken by a gent who spoke very little English. Hot water was almost non existent so we had cold showers most of the time, which, because of the extreme heat wasn't too bad but washing one's hair in icy water is challenging.
Air conditioning was wonderful in the extreme heat (35 degrees plus) and functioned well. Beds were comfortable. Location was excellent...right across the way to Rome Central Station, so very central and convenient. Wifi was adequate albeit a bit unstable occasionally.

The area is very rough! You can hear EVERY sound through the wall of other guests. The smell is a bit old
The location near Rome terminal was great. The bedroom was clean and functional and better than the review given online

Other guests were very noicy and I couldn’t rest for whole day and night. Also before entering the building you need to be very careful if you are a female traveler.
The location was perfect, in front of train station. I did got accommodated even I was there few hours before check-in time. It was clean.

The bathroom was dirty when arrived, could’ve been advised of water works going on as water to entire building was turned off for hours unexpectedly.
The location was very good right near the train station, the room was what I expected it would be. They came and serviced the room halfway through our stay which was good.

The neighborhood doesn't seem safe at all.
Spacious place. They let us leave our luggage early. Really near to termini station.

it's an old building and the room and furniture was very old, too. and also room was not very clean.
location. it's in the city center, next to train terminal. but, that's it. it was an easy and relax stay. but i was expecting a little bit better experience.

Kitchen area was not such cleaned.
I stayed for a night with my friend at this place. The host was nice and kind and provided everything we asked for. It's located at convenient location, Train station, bus and tram stops are very close this.

Had some problems to pay with card so we had to withdraw money to pay with cash. It can happen. The street can be a bit creepy, especially at night ! Also had to wait a long moment because the receptionist wasn’t at the hotel when we arrived.

The building is located in a creepy and filthy surrounding. Do not trust the photos in booking.com it's not same. Bathroom and it's fitting is very old. Not worth the money
We just stayed to sleep the night and started early. Had no disturbance during sleep.

The area lot of migrants.
It is close to the train station. There is elevator and 24h front desk. We was able to leave our bags next day.

place very noisy, with people coming and going, and the people that gather outside were noisy, but harmless, cold showers, had 1 hot shower in the six days.

the staff were not supportive. It was a rainy day and they not good with their necessary support. it was difficult to find the hotel/apartment as there were many doors on the same building we were confused which door to take and the guy on phone was more concern about his working time rather than guiding us the right way in to the hotel. It also sound racism. When our shoes were full of rain water and took them off to avoid getting sick and trying to change their comment was "European don't like it".
The Room was good in size. We were 3 adults and the size of the room was good. it is right next to the main station, easy walk easy bus to aiport
