Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesDrive to the property could be a little hairy for inexperienced drivers! But that is hardly the fault of the property! Well worth it :-)

IndiaWe spent 3 nights at Capo Santa Fortunata and had an amazing experience. The property is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect place to relax. The rooms were spacious, clean, and full of character. Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh, a lovely way to start the day. A special mention to Teresa, who truly made our stay exceptional. She was incredibly kind and helpful, assisting us with everything—from local tips to booking a fantastic restaurant. Her warmth and hospitality really stood out. Highly recommended for a tranquil and authentic Sorrento stay!

Location was absolutely amazing, we had a stunning view of the water with Mt Vesuvius in the distance, it was magical. The staff were so accommodating to every request and went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing stay. The gardens are so peaceful. The pool was not working during our stay but the staff arranged for us to have complimentary access to a beach club which was a highlight of our stay! Thanks to Teresa and all the team who made us feel right at home.

United KingdomIt was all wonderful. My only comment would be that it is out of town, but for us that was part of the charm. It was extremely peaceful and the location gave stunning views.
I have never written an online review before, but I have never stayed anywhere quite like Capo Santa Fortunata before either. It was truly exceptional. From the moment we were greeted by Angelo (with glasses of chilled champagne on our beautiful private terrace) to the moment we left (Lina and Rosario having a very early start to give us a full breakfast, despite us saying a coffee and croissant would be fine at 06.45), our stay was truly magical. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the villa itself is out of this world. We stayed in the Don Giovanni suite and it was stunning (and spotlessly clean). We had so many plans as to what we would do with our time in Sorrento, but the villa was just so beautiful we ended up ditching half of them so we could spend more time by the pool, just taking in the wonderful atmosphere. In terms of location, it is a bit out of town, but, as long as you're not in a rush, the buses are great and the walk do-able (we walked both up and down to the town on several occasions). Its location also gives you one of the best views in Sorrento. We cannot recommend Capo Santa Fortunata enough and only hope we can go back in the not too distant future.

United KingdomThe only tiny downside is the location (just to be aware) it is easier if you have a car, or it will be a long walk to Sorrento. I believe there might be a shuttle bus though!
The room was amazing, absolutely huge - and that was the smaller one! Incredible grounds with a pool and breakfast in the morning. Staff were so lovely and welcoming, a special shoutout to Teresa who went above and beyond and even helped us to order in a takeaway from a local restaurant. 10/10 would stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Teresa, who went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely perfect. NetherlandsAbsolutely nothing, don’t change a thing!
We have never been to such a beautiful place as this and I travelled a lot. A historic mansion filled with a beautiful personal collection of art, paintings and ceramics! The house is beyond a dream, like being in an Italian movie. If you love Italian vintage, this is your place. Bit it also has the modern comfort for a relaxed no stress vacation. Teresa makes sure you have everything you need and is always available for questions, so is the staff. Breakfast is fenomenal with fresh pastry, fruits, and eggs etc. The staff is super friendly! It’s not like the crowded unpersonal hotels in the area but more like staying at a (very wealthy haha) Italian family member. It was very serene and calm as there were almost no other people. It is also used as a wedding venue, and you can totally see why when you see it, an all Italian dream. The swimming pool is incredibly beautiful, as are all the surrounding gardens. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom in blue tiles and marble is a true beauty. If you want to live the Italian dream and feel like royalty for some days, come here. There is a road just next to the entrance gate that leads to the most beautiful beach I have ever been. I can’t imagine not going back to this beautiful place, because I miss it allready. Thank you so much to Teresa and the staff. We hope to return someday!

New ZealandOnly negative is that it is a little out of town and we had some difficulty with taxi’s finding the location. Having your own vehicle would be ideal otherwise booking ahead or through Teresa.
The Villa is absolutely stunning. Teresa was incredibly helpful and took care of every detail perfectly. The Restaurant’s she recommended were some of the best we had in Italy. Highly recommended.
