How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Like many places in Italy, the soundproofing wasn’t great—you could hear conversations through the walls, and if your room faced the street, the noise from outside was quite noticeable. The air conditioning wasn’t working, which made things a bit uncomfortable.
The hotel was clean, and the receptionist was very welcoming. Breakfast was simple but came with a good cup of coffee. If you prefer tea, it's a good idea to bring your own.

What I did not like I can’t complain. Just wish get some Refund for tree bed room.
Unfortunately I was not able use all tree rooms what I did booked. Fart of my family arrived not and I don’t got any refund for tree bedroom. I occupied just one single and two bedroom. No one takes care about😒

Breakfast was good but I prefer more warm food and dishes!
Perfect old school hotel which I prefer. Everything looks like from 70ties but same time clean, classic and cozy. The hotel as it must be! I love it!

There was some kind of ventilation in the room, that would switch on and off every 5 minutes. I was too tired to look if there's a switch, but luckily also too tired to be bothered by the sound of the ventilation

Hotel is clean and simple.
Very nice hotel in Cantù. The hotel is not renovated, but it is clean and breakfast was fine for an Italian hotel. Meaning that it was simple, but selection was fine.

We missed the information in the room whether the drinks available in a pretty loud fridge were additionally paid, so we left them unattended 🙂. A bit wavy road to the hotel which is situated near quite busy street.
Nice breakfast, drinks served by the really kind staff. Reception with all necessary information - quick check-in & check-out, no problem with English. Good quality and price. Pleasant view from the balcony with mountains in the background.

Nothing not to like, very refreshed after our stay, sorry it was only for one night.
On arrival, easy to park, staff were very helpful and after a long drive the relaxing drink in the bar was very welcome. Room was comfortable with a terrace to sit out on which was very peaceful. Buffet breakfast was very good, alot of choice and enjoyed the TWO cappucino coffees. Certainly will stay again.

The room was cold, with no blankets or supplementary heating. The shower was small, it was easy to knock the control. This meant the temperature varied widely! There was no charge for breakfast but it was not very nice.
Receptionist friendly, parking just outside, room had balcony.

Don’t know why there are so many comments about an old hotel and modest breakfast. Just expect a 4 star- and your expectations will be exceeded.
The three of us had a big room with 1 double and 1 single bed. Even we could see the street we didn’t hear a single car. The room was not the most modern I have ever seen but it looked nice, good maintained and everything you need. The breakfast offered everything necessary from juice, milk, toast, croissants and the usual sweets you get in Italy

It was alarm outside all the night and receptionist couldn’t solve this problem. It was very difficult to sleep. The hotel smells like old cigarette smoke.
Check in in the night (about 2:00) is available!👍🏻Very clean and comfortable room, good beds and bed linen. Good breakfast with fresh bread and coffee. Very friendly people on reception 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
