How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing really... would have been great to have a nespresso or coffee machine in the room. Kitchen has a kettle but then you have to drink instant...

Great location, safe neighborhood. The space was incredibly clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. Comfortable bed. Everything was exactly as pictured. What made the stay even better was the kindness and hospitality of the host. Smooth check-in, even earlier then we expected. Highly recommend it!

We liked everything
Location is very close to the train station and 2 min. from the subway station. To reach the center of Rome by subway takes 10 min.We liked the host who contacted us before arrival and was in touch with us all the time from the moment we landed in Rome. The place is very clean and comfortable. Irene and Michele were wonderful and made our stay very pleasant.

Everything was okay, location near Termini station, restaurants and bars close enough. The communication with the owners was very good, they were ready to help anytime.

The appartment is on the ground floor right next to the entrance door to the appartment building, so sometimes it was a little bit noisy since people were passing by.
The neighborhood was very nice, convenient metro connection to the city center. The room was very clean! And we much appreciated the hosts - Michele and Irene. They showed us kindness and helpfulness throughout the whole stay.

I loved how central the hotel was to everything. Buses and trains were just a few minutes walking from the hotel and would take you right to the center of Rome’s best attractions. Great restaurants (and gelato) in the area of the hotel as well. We felt extremely safe at all hours of the day/night. The space itself was very clean and simple. It had everything you could need for a short stay. The room had an AC, though we barely used it because the room stayed pretty cool always. All in all, no complaints at all. We could not have asked for better, especially for that price in Rome. Lastly, Michele was a very kind and helpful host! He was there for whatever you needed. Book this place!

If we had to critic anything, it would be the height of the toilet. It was fairly high, even for both of us (5ft7 and 6ft). It was also a shame that there were a number of building works nearby which contributed to noise rather early in the morning. But this is to no fault of the place.
The room and ensuite was really lovely. Very comfortable and spacious. Irene and Michele were very friendly and kind to offer suggestions on where to go for food and visit. Very convenient and central location. Ideal to access the metro and also very short walk from Central Terminale

Nothing really negative to report. Maybe i would just suggest putting a toaster in the kitchen, as it would be great for breakfast.
Excellent accommodation, extremely careful and clean. Thanks to Miguel for all his kindness. Although slightly removed from the historic center, Castro Pretório Metro Station is very close by.

Everything was fine.
Very friendly host available at any time, they also cleaned our room earlier on the day of our arrival so we can check in early. Room is very spacious and well equiped, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, shared kitchen at your disposal - exellent value for money! When in Rome, defenitely stay at 4rooms in Rome! 😊
