The best B&B we have stayed at! The room was new and very clean, spacious and with a great view. You could feel the little details were thought-out. The hosts very super helpful, also, we were able to check in early even though we failed to inform properly. Our dog was welcomed like a special guest. Great patio for an evening glass of wine. Breakfast had eggs, bread, fruits, vegetables, muesli, yogurt and sweet treats. The location is also great, 10 mins to the bus stop, which takes you straight to city centre of Venice. The property is in a fenced area, quiet neibourhood, great for couples and those travelling with a car. Would definitely come back.

What a little gem, in a quaint neighborhood, close to the airport. I used it as a one night stay, but it is equally great to use as a base as well. Room was super clean and comfortable, the view so pretty and relaxing and the hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful. I really hope to return one day. I had dinner at a restaurant within walking distance which was convenient and delicious.

We literally liked everything.

Exceptional B&B. Barbara and Matteo are super friendly and they go over the top to make you feel good. The house is spotless (if someone would have told me that such a clean B&B/accomodation exists I would have not belived them), simple, in good taste and it has been designed in such a manner to perfectly combine comfort and utility. The breakfast was delicious. We would deffinetly stay here again. I don’t understand why it’s rated 9.9 on Booking, it deffinetly deserves a 10. It was a pleasure to stay here! We had an early flight and chose Ca’ del Portego for its location near the airport and it turned out to be a perfect choice.The place was very comfortable and cozy.We arrived a bit earlier than expected and the gracious host welcomed us warmly.Both he and his wife treat their guests with genuine care and kindness.It was a short and yet truly pleasant stay -thank you for your hospitality!!☀️

The place is conveniently located near Venice’s Marco Polo airport, making it the perfect spot for the night before departure (or after arrival). Easy walk to a restaurant for dinner, and a nice, quiet neighborhood.

Honestly—nothing. We truly loved everything about our stay and wouldn’t change a thing!

We absolutely loved our stay here and couldn’t recommend it enough! From the beginning, the hosts were super friendly, kind, and communicative, which made the whole booking process really easy. The house had such a warm, homey feel—it was a lovely change from staying in a chain hotel. The property was very close to Marco Polo airport which was perfect for our stay. We especially loved the peaceful backyard where we could relax after a long day of traveling. And we can’t forget to mention their sweet dog, who added an extra touch of joy to our stay! Barbra also cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated treat.

Nothing, everything was great.

The house was beautiful with farmland surrounding the area. The rooms were spacious with bathrooms in each room. The breakfast was fantastic. Only a 20 minute bus ride into Venice after you walk approximately 20 minutes to the bus stop through beautiful corn fields and homes. I would highly recommend this place.

Venice review We had a great stay! From the moment we arrived, Barbara and Matteo gave us the warmest welcome and offered us a drink while going over the house info. The place feels new, modern, and spotless – everything felt fresh and well looked after. The bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing. The gardens are lovely and peaceful, and breakfast was really generous – we especially appreciated the freshly cooked eggs just how we liked them. Location-wise, it’s perfect: really handy for the airport and also close to the car parks for the Venice islands.

Everything was perfect. Not one complaint.

Outstanding small B&B/Guesthouse minutes from Marco Polo airport, Barbara greeted us with a chilled glass of excellent white wine. She is a charming and gracious host who serves a wonderful breakfast. I recommend you ask her to prepare the fresh mozzarella-tomato salad for you to enjoy. Trust me: it's not just for dinner! Then Barbara is happy to make you cappuccino in addition to expresso and regular coffee. The house is immaculate and full of charm. Located in a very quiet country setting, the property has nice views of the yard and surrounding farm fields. We booked the downstairs room which has its own patio and is spacious. You can't find a better place to stay--especially if you're catching a flight the next day. Lastly, follow the advice of others along with ours to have dinner at the local restaurant which brews its own beer. We had an excellent dinner; terrific beer; and great service. And it's only a 3-minute walk away. One last piece of advice: if you need to fill your rental car before returning it, there is a petrol station a couple of minutes away. So, everything you need is close to Ca del Portego.
