Excellent location in a quiet residential area away from the tourist crowds, just 10 minutes on foot from the bus station and vaporetto stop. Simple breakfast, but enough to eat. A/C in the room. Clean outer bathroom. Lift. Garden. I noticed quite many single travelers at breakfast.

Ones there were VERY loud guests, the walls are thin, I woke up because they were screaming. I would add eggs and maybe some vegetables to the breakfast.

The location is great! Great view from the window. The room and shared bathroom/ toilet were very clean. Breakfast was also good, a bit modest, but tasty. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location for a stay in Venice. Only a few minutes walk from Piazzale Roma, from where you can get a vaporetto bus to anywhere. And yet the neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff, good breakfast, a garden that is an oasis of tranquility. Air conditioning in the rooms made a huge difference during the hot weather.

It's the most basic, modest room you can imagine because this is not a hotel and you have to be prepared for that. But it's perfectly clean and quiet. The shared bathrooms are super clean and nice, and I never had to wait. The atmosphere is peaceful and positive, no matter if you are religious or not. Modest and simple breakfast, but if you need more, there's a great bakery in the next street. Excellent location, far from the crowds, in a normal neighbourhood. Close to the station and all attractions are reachable. Would stay here again.

Rooms are small and simple. And private bathrooms are separate rooms. Which was a bit odd. Breakfast is fine but a simple affair.

Very quiet and comfortable. It’s away from the crowded tourist place but only a 10 min walk to a ferry or 20-25 min walk to San Marco. Close to train station and got some areas nearby to eat with local prices. It’s also near the university and prison but neither of those seem to impact the area much.

Very clean and well maintained, comfortable small single room with good air conditioning and view of the garden. There were two women’s bathrooms nearby which were very accessible and clean. Nice breakfasts.

I loved it (and was surprised I loved it!)l It is so very very clean, and very very quiet. I needed to spend some time working on a book manuscript and I could do so both in the common room on the first floor (where I was alone) and also out in the lovely garden that had tables and chairs. It's basically in the Santa Marta district, so no tourist hoards and yet very close to a nice bar and the calle that leads to the train station, and an easy walk to Campo Santa Margarita. I had a shared bathroom, but saw no one else. I'd stay there again tomorrow!!

The premises are locked from midnight to 6am and this is made clear upon check in. This was only an issue when I went to run at 5:30am and realized I was locked in. I understand (& appreciate!) the locked out but felt uncomfortable realizing I was also locked inside.

This was a sweet, safe room in a perfect location. I liked the atmosphere and the quiet street. The staff at the front desk when I checked in was the kindest! While my bathroom was not en suite, it was just beside my room and not an issue at all. The showers were fantastic.

This is a VERY minor criticism - the breakfast was fine and the nuns and other staff did a really good job replenishing the food on the buffet table, but it would have been good to have 1. a bit of variety rather than the same thing each day and 2. some form of fruit.

Casa Carburlotto was clean, peaceful, safe and friendly. Not just my room, but the entire property is kept immaculate. The garden is absolutely beautiful and very well-kept - a lovely place to relax in between exploring wonderful Venice. The staff are pleasant and helpful.
