Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Property spotless. 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 twin beds. Well equipped kitchen. Fantastic location in centre of Bellagio on second floor. 3/4 minutes walk to ferries and lake. No requirement for a car. Small food shop next door. Loads of good restaurants within 2 minute walk. Highly recommended.

My only negative would be is that the beds and pillows weren’t the most comfortable.
Great location right in the centre just a few minutes walk from the ferry port, restaurants, shops and square for dancing. Apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Host was super friendly and gave great suggestions on restaurants and things to do. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is perfect - close to everything including shops and restaurants. Washing machine and iron came in handy. Airconditioning worked well.

You have to walk up quite a few steps on a hill from the ferry terminal to the apartment and there is only stairs to the apartment itself... If you were older you might need to consider it....
Klod was an exceptional host, extremely helpful and responded very fast to any questions....ideal central location on the doorstep to all the shops, restaurants, a small supermarket next door and a quick walk to the ferry terminal....the apartment was well equipped, clean and the beds were comfortable....I would highly recommend to stay here....

Our host was amazing he gave us a great referrals especially for a boat cruise with a guy called Pierre who I highly recommend. our host responded very quickly to our messages. The place was super clean, aircon in all rooms and there was a washing machine which was a bonus. We felt right at home.

Our host Klod was super-nice and shared a lot of info on the area and need-to-know places!! The apartment was in a great position and very spacious and clean! We had a really good time and looking forward to return ;)

The welcome we received on arrival was truly heartwarming. The sincere enthusiasm and genuine love of Bellagio shown by our host Klod was wonderful. The apartment was in the best location and provided everything we needed and was very comfortable.

Stairs - but doable unless you have mobility issues.
Klos the property manager was so kind to meet us by the ferry and carry our heavy bags up the stairs! The apartment was roomy and comfortable. Great location! There are stairs but can’t be avoided in Bellagio! I would happily stay here again!

The bed and bedding not as comfortable as we expected.
The apartment is centrally located on a very beautiful central street with shops, restaurants, bars etc. Next to the apartment there is a convenient store which is a bonus. Only a short distance walk to the lake and ferry. Host was helpful and nice too.

The location was perfect! The apartment was centrally located with restaurants and shops just steps away. A nice, small grocery store was next door to the apartment, so in the morning we could grab fresh fruit, yogurt, water, etc. The owner of the apartment took the time to mark the best restaurants and sights in our Google Maps. This was extremely helpful! I HIGHLY recommend renting this property when visiting Bellagio, Italy!

Spacious, comfortable apartment. Great location in the heart of Bellagio. 5 minutes walk to lake and boat trips, many restaurants in the vicinity. Our host provided a range of recommendations which was great. Property included kitchen facility - fridge, cooker etc. enabling self catering option.
