The was place was stunning and spotlessly clean. It’s a 15 minute walk to Ortigia from the hotel and about a 20 minute walk the other way to the main archaeological site. The staff were all really friendly and helpful

We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel has a gorgeous, chic design with modern fittings throughout, and our room was incredibly spacious with the added bonus of a private terrace. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent – everything you’d want for a relaxing break. It’s about a 15-minute easy walk into the heart of Ortigia, with plenty of lovely cafés and restaurants to explore along the way. The location struck a perfect balance between peace and proximity to the buzz of the old town. What really stood out, though, was the staff – truly exceptional. Thank you Santi and Valentina - so welcoming, attentive and helpful; they genuinely went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

There was nothing we didn’t like

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is very convenient — only a 10-minute walk to Ortigia through beautiful streets, which made exploring the area a pleasure. The hotel offers free parking for guests, and the staff were very helpful and responsive when assisting with parking the car. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. We stayed in a room with a terrace, which we absolutely loved. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely scent of the bed linens — something I have never experienced before in a hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I ordered a delivery to the hotel, but there was an issue. The hotel team went above and beyond to help resolve the problem, which I truly appreciated. Breakfast was included and consisted of standard but high-quality European options. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. In my opinion, this is the best hotel in Syracuse.

The location was about 10 to 15 minutes outside of the town which wasn’t bad. It was nice to walk off the food, but it was kind of an a bizarre location with that said it was very close to the train station so that made it awesome because you didn’t have to take an Uber or a cab, which can get very expensive. If this place had a pool, it would make it all worth it because it was so hot outside. But the staff was so lovely. The rooms were so fancy nicely decorated and the breakfast buffet was awesome. I would definitely highly recommend staying here again.

Beautiful room, very posh design, super comfy, nice products, ac pumping, blackout shades, super friendly staff, an amazing breakfast buffet. The location was super convenient from the train station about a five minute walk to get into the town. It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Breakfast was amazing. The staff were very attentive and remembered what we ate each day which was especially sweet of them. Kudos to everyone working at the Byssus Suites. They went over and above to make our stay most wonderful.

Everything was perfect

Perfect place for your Syracuse / Ortiga stay . The hotel is so tastefully furnished, the rooms are very spacious and the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Hotel is in a great location surrounded by great restaurants and walking distance to all points of interest. We loved the secure carpark and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice as well as a La Carte eggs and bacon !! We had a very enjoyable stay .

The hotel is located a 20-minute walk from Ortigia. They have their own secure parking free of charge. We had the executive suite, which was huge and beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful with a buffet that had everything plus an la carte menu for additional warm dishes. Emanuele was very helpful and kind during our stay as well as Valentina. Katia was very kind and provided great service at breakfast. It's also right next door to the Onda Blue Restaurant that provides fresh seafood to the entire area and is a great restaurant to dine with the freshest and high quality seafood! Will definitely come again and can highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing it was excellent. If I were to nitpick the walk into town was just a touch longer than I would’ve liked. It is located about 500m away from the strip that has restaurants (outside of old town Ortigia) and then another 1km or so to the old town. Whilst this isn’t far, it did make coming back to the hotel during the day a “planned” visit. Nothing to deter you from this just thought it would be worth considering for other guests. Overall though I’d rate this a 9.9/10 as you can easily plan around that.

We booked the sauna room. Excellent room, sauna and living space. Plenty of space. The staff were excellent and helped us with recommendations and any request. Even found a gym nearby for us to use. The hotel staff were great especially Manolo. 10/10 for service and room. Excellent value for money.

Very well executed boutique hotel. Superb staff. My wife loved Emmanuel- super helpful guy- above and beyond. They have good parking, modernized rooms, great spot easy walking to the Ortegia.

We had a great stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room included a steam room which was a real treat after a day's sightseeing and walking around.The location was great, close to Ortigia as well as the archeological site and to bus /train connections for onward travel. There were lovely nearby restaurants including breakfast next door in the hotel's restaurant. Would highly recommend!

It was so good, like it would design Germans from Porsche Design in Italy. It was solid. Everything there was heavy, well designed. Great accessories, great furnitures, a lot of space. Awesome service - with smile, class and charm. We got sauna inside our apartament. Very spacey, very modern and classic at the same time. On of this place where everything is right. Nothing is cheap, nothing is plastic. All is marble, stone solid. And the bed - bed was like a dream. Many times we got great beds in some luxury hotels - but that one is the mother of all of them!

The property itself is beautiful. The attached restaurant for breakfast is thoughtful and perfect to get your day started. Parking onsite is also a nice treat. The hotel is a short walk away from Ortigia and the range of restaurants and shops. This was our second time staying there and was just as great as the first. Staff are attentive and incredibly welcoming.
