Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelWhat I liked less was the challenging access road to the hotel. Unfortunately, I had to rent a very large car, a Ford Transit, and getting into the hotel’s parking area was very difficult for me, as was getting out. But that is to be expected, given the hotel’s mountain location. Still, I think it would be helpful to slightly widen the entrance to the parking area and perhaps remove part of the stone wall that stands at the turn into the lot. Apart from that, everything was perfect.
I really loved the location of our hotel - outside the city, on a hill, overlooking an amazing view. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and coffee, and in the reception area there were organic tomatoes and cucumbers from the local garden. The staff was very polite, checked with us every day if we needed anything, and was always helpful whenever we asked for assistance. The place had a washing machine and dryer, kitchen utensils, and even dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent, which is not something you can take for granted. In the fridge, a bottle of cold water was waiting for us, and the rooms were air-conditioned, with a fan brought to us immediately when we asked for one. The whole place was very quiet and created a peaceful atmosphere, while also being centrally located, making it easy to reach both the lakes and the mountain areas. We also appreciated the wonderful restaurant recommendations left for us on a printed sheet in the room, and the internet worked perfectly throughout our stay.

LithuaniaSuch a great place to stay! It had so many nice little design touches and kept its authentic vibe. The staff were super friendly, too. We had everything we could possibly need right there, and honestly, there were days when staying somewhere like this made us not even want to go anywhere else.

AustraliaFrom the moment my partner and I, with our 10 month old, arrived we had the most beautiful stay. The place has been renovated to a maintain its historical feel, with all the comfort and amenities you need. Our room and little kitchen made us feel like we were in our own private castle, looking out over the town below. Our host Lisette went out of her way to help with information and advice, and was lovely to deal with. We had such a great time I actually proposed to my partner on the terrace. Staying here was truly an amazing experience.

United StatesIf you're planning on going into the town below and having dinner, I wouldn't suggest driving the roads back up in the dark
Lizetta could not have been more lovely and considerate to our needs. Walking the tiny roads up high and looking down was breathtaking The place is so quiet at night and in the morning and during the day it is more of a place you want to just stay and relax

Borgo has an amazing atmosphere, combining restored ancient parts of the buildings and a bit of modern style. The whole property is very cozy and located in a quiet place in the mountains with a beautiful view over Valtellina valley. We stayed in Cucinaccia apartment, which is not so big, but has all necessary for comfort stay. We really liked the style of the room with ancient fireplace and stone walls. Also Borgo offers a lot as common spaces: nice looking yard with outdoor tables and relax area, amazing common room with frescoes on the walls.

United KingdomBeautiful restoration, expertly done, very high standard of workmanship. All very clean and well maintained. The location has to be seen to be believed, absolutely incredible - it’s on a mountainside with very steep and narrow road (but don’t let that put you off as it’s all drivable, just not usual for a Brit, lol). Amazing views. Staff very friendly and helpful. Table tennis in the garden. Ample private parking.

IsraelWe liked everything, but if I had to make a suggestion, maybe I would suggest a breakfast option to include. It could be so nice to come downstairs in the morning and have some local bread, cheese, eggs and jam from the area to eat :)
We loved every moment of our stay. The setting is magical, our room was beautiful and functional, the location was perfect for nature lovers like us, and the staff was so welcoming and wonderful. We would definitely come again!

GermanyOur second stay, this time for 6 days. We stayed in the house with two bedrooms with a private garden and barbecue again. Perfect regarding silence, privacy, garden and valley view. No A/C necessary even at 32 degrees in the valley. Strategically perfectly located for discovering all Valtellina, Val Camonica, Lago di Como, Lago di Lugano as well as Bergamo and Chiavenna areas. Jogging track starting at the house with 120 m uphill on 5 km distance.

SwitzerlandThis place is a real gem! The Minatta family did a great job in transforming the former ruin into the confortable retreat it is today. We stayed in the Casa della Teresina and were extremely happy with it. Very cozy, but enough space. Ancient walls, but modern comfort. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom, good WiFi. Great views from the garden down to Morbegno, which is just 15 min and two switchbacks away by car. Thanks to Lisette for the friendly reception on the first day. We really enjoyed our stay, which naturally was too short. Driving directions: To get there, it may be best to follow the GPS coordinates instead of the address. You need to take a left from the main road into a narrow road through a little forest to get to Frazione Selvapiana. After the forest, you take a sharp left at a house. After about 250m you will arrive at the access road to the Borgo, which is a very steep road down to the left. There is no sign. At the end of the access road you will find a reasonably large parking lot with enough space for all guests. If you are not sure about the situation (we were not), it may be a good idea to drive about 100m further into the village, park your car and explore things on foot first (there is some space to park at the other end of the village on the left side of the road).

Czech RepublicThere is no A/C in the townhouse, so it easily becomes a sauna when there is really hot outside (30 degrees plus). Not necessarily a drawback, more of a comment: it takes ca 10 minutes drive to the supermarket/nearest village and part of the road is for very steep and narrow, for experienced drivers only.
This is a hidden gem. There is simply everything you may need in the house. In case you are missing something, the host is always available and ready to help you. The wifi connection is pretty solid, there is a beautiful view on the mountains from the property, private parking lot available on site. We really enjoyed our stay here.
