We had an incredible stay at Borgo Petrognano! We spent a couple of nights there during our honeymoon in Italy and truly wish we had stayed longer. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was delicious, and our room was beautiful and peaceful. The drive through the Tuscan hills to reach the Borgo felt like a dream. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to make our stay so special, we really appreciated it. We’ll definitely be back! :)

There is no bar service after lunch up until 6PM. However, there is a shared fridge which you can use for afternoon drinks.

Beautiful location with friendly staff and a beautiful view. Nice pool as well which was refreshing during the hot summer days. Room was classic Italian style, which we like and was very big. Cleaning of the rooms every day was done very well. Breakfast was delicious!

It was a bit of a hike to the pool that invovled several stairs up and down. If mobility is an issue, that could be a challenge. To those in good health, no problem whatsoever. The stairs to the tub are not stationary, so one has to exercise caution during descent. We were extremely happy we did not book the Tower Suite. Far too many stairs. Their were 2 flights of stairs just from the 1st floor to the 2nd. Once you reached the summit (3rd floor bedroom), the incredibly low bed seemed 18" off the ground. As vast as the 3 story structure was, there was very little usable/functional space; besides was an inferno upon entry.

The staff was incredibly kind, caring and diligent. There was such sincerity in wanting each guest to be 100% satisfied with their stay. Sara (Front Desk/Reception) went so far above and beyond trying to exceed our expectations and make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as humanly possible. My wife and I thought she was an exceedingly rare gem we were fortunate to find. Ada and the rest of the breakfast staff were extremely attentive and always anticipating your every need. Giovanni is truly a handyman extraordinaire, always willing to go the extra mile to fix/adjust anything that is slightly amiss. It felt like a small, self-contained village. We booked the Morello suite which was quite expansive. Downstairs there are 2 air conditioners that kept the living space 'arctic-ly' cool in the sweltering heat. Additionally, there was an air conditioner in the approx. 300sqft bathroom! Amazingly, there's an underground garage you can park your car to escape the sun. The structures were all pristine and well maintained, even the common area WC. Most importantly, you were always greeted with a smile, a simple gesture that goes a long way.

When i was drawing the curtains closed before getting ready to go to sleep, I had to discover that their were doucends of stink bugs behind the curtains. I found some of them also around the bed. I was so shocked that I even forgot to take pictures. I had been the only guest at the place for that night and the place does not offer dinner, which was ok. the staff had left the place early in the evening, so there was no one to whom I could haver reprtet, or who could have given me another room. So I tried to figure out how I would spent the night in that room. during the night the bugs went into hiding under the roof beams and else. in the morning there were less bugs around but to my horror there had some bugs landed on the bed. When I reported this after a night I had hardly slept because of all this bugs in the room, the answer was that they were sorry but that they couldn't do anything and didn't know what to do against the bugs, because the bugs would just invade the room when the temperatures fall in autumn. knowing this, the hotel staff still had not checked the room before installing me there and foremost they hadn't warned me. I had paid the full rate for the room, and the B&B did not even offer a reduction or a full refund. A refund would have been the least after this disaster. If not for the stink bugs, it is a good place to stay. But hotel owners and staff should in no way put guests in such a situation nor try to hide a problem, that can not be hidden. and those bugs will multiply, when left to their own like at this place... i'm sorry for the wedding guests the hotel will be hosting in the comming days.
