The host was exceptional. We arrived in Varenna late at night. She picked us up and took us to the apartment. She provided food for dinner and breakfast, which was so welcome after a hard day of traveling. She gave us great advice about places to eat. It was so useful having a parking space in the centre.

The host had a wonderful book filled with maps, things to do, and places to eat. She emailed me when she found certain events that were happening during our stay. Incredibly helpful.

It is hard to get into the apartment without a car. Public Transportation around Lake Como is not very good.

Apartment was very clean and it had everything we needed, we even found a coffee table with a welcome treat. The owners are incredibly nice people and they gave us a lot of tips on how to move around the lake and what to visit. The view from the tarrace was breathtaking.

Nothing- Leaving was the only thing we didn’t like!

Loved absolutely everything! All as described and host Allesandra is wonderful. Clean, comfortable, well stocked and everything we needed for our vacation. Having a car with garage parking at the house and in Varenna town make everything ideal. We also chose to walk into town a couple of times which is quite doable. There is a fabulous restaurant a few houses up as well with great food and views. The views and patio at this stay are amazing.

Everything was great. I think a person with a super-large car would find parking a little tight, doable.

The parking options alone would make this place an incredible value for Varenna, where every square meter is precious. The apt. comes with its own garage (great for safety of the car), & a private parking stall in the center of Varenna (priceless). I would recommend in any case that you not bring an enormous vehicle here--parking in the garage and in the downtown area will be much more difficult. We were walking distance from a great restaurant, & were able to go only a kilometer or so to a superb restaurant. Getting to town was an easy 10 minute drive. The apartment is wonderful. Small but well-equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, and comfortable living area. The balcony is swoon-worthy. The bedroom was tranquil and comfortable. So great to have washing facilities onsite! The host was attentive & well-informed. We had a far better stay than we anticipated, mainly because our apt. was far from the hubbub of town, and because we knew we always had parking assured. Stay here!

Alessandra the host had clearly thought of everything and she had a helpful attitude to any request. Excellent experience all in all. Clean apartment. And the view is of course stunning. But I would have given full 10 even without the view.

There is nothing I didn’t like as I knew it was an apartment located outside of the town center and I expected everything that it came with.

This property and host Alessandra were the highlights of our wonderful trip to Italy. Starting from the time we received confirmation of our reservation and throughout our 4-day stay at this property Alessandra was responsive to every question and communication promptly and cheerfully. She was more like a concierge at a tip hotel, making sure we had maps, brochures, information about all that Varenna and Lake Como have to offer and even booking dinner reservations for us. She’s such a great person and amazing host, she made us feel right at home in her lovely property and even left us yummy snacks and drinks, pasta and pesto for dinner, and a great espresso/cappuccino maker with all the supplies. The apartment has onsite parking and also comes with a parking space in the Varenna town parking structure, all included in the rental. Because the apartment is quite a long walk from the center of Varenna I would suggest having a car if you stay there and the two reserved parking spots are a great bonus. And the apartment is adorable! The two of us were very comfortable there, but the apartment could easily sleep 5. It was sparkling clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom has been updated with a large and luxurious shower (no tub) and a clothes washer/dryer. However, the piece de resistance is the deck with an amazing 180 degree unobstructed view of the lake! Waking up to that view was magical. Believe me, if you book this property you will love it too!!

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, beds are very comfy. The views were amazing. Alessandra is very helpful and goes above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable and comes with a great knowledge of the area. Close to Varenna center and the use of a garage in the centre is very useful.

You defenitly need a car. If you don’t have a car I do not recommend to stay here.

Nice proprety, quiet, excelent view of the lake! Nice Host Alessandra, she made our stay very pleasent. She knows Everything, restaurants, places to go, well connected with the area. Parking in the city center provided by host, and at location is excelent and free!

Holidays were too short:)

Location on the outskirts of Varenna with stunning views from the terrace over Bellagio. In a quiet location, 15 minutes walk from the old town, where the boats crosses Lake Como. 2 garages are available to guests - under the apartments and right in the center of the old town. The room includes all the amenities including free coffee capsules, pasta, pesto and wine in the fridge. Kind and helpful hostess. Brand new and clean. Recommend! PS. Varenna is an excellent choice of places to stay on Lake Como - right in the middle way, with perfect boat traffic, lots of good restaurants, and no huge crowds of tourists.

Unfortunately while we were in Varenna there was quite a bit of rain and whilst there is a roof over the balcony, there were a lot of holes in it. This meant that you could not sit out on the balcony during the rain and also the rain seeped through to the seating areas leaving the loungers and sofas on the balcony very damp. It would be great if this could be fixed so that the roof provides proper cover from the rain

We stayed in this apartment in Varenna for 7 nights in June. The location is very easy to find, and the host was very attentive. We hired a car which is 100% necessary as the apartment is almost 2 miles from Varenna. The apartment covered all basic necessities in terms of kitchen equipment and also has a smart TV in the living area and the bedroom. The highlight is the balcony which has a spectacular view over the lake. Parking at the apartment as well as in Varenna was also very much appreciated.

It's around a 20+ minute walk to Varenna to catch ferries and other transport around lake Como. we had a car which made things easier. The roads aren't very pedestrian friendly.

Very spacious apartment with fantastic views. Included was a parking spot in town which was important (and extremely helpful). The host was great and very generous with advice and directions. The facilities were all very good with coffee and tea available - many thanks!
