How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Located just a five-minute walk from the old town, this studio offered my husband and me everything we needed: airy space, cleanliness, and the staff was very kind and prompt with every message.

Blu Notte Guest House was in an excellent location, walkable and close to everything but outside the crazy, busy tourist area. The room was cozy and clean, and we loved the coffee bar. Great value and wonderful staff!

Bathroom would have been complete with a heated towel rail.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and tidy. Our room was nice, spacious and cool from the air conditioner. We were close to the Piazza Santa Croce and other famous attractions in walking distance. Highly recommend!

-location was center to most of the important place - amazing n clean apartment - Amazing staff Mr Marco and his lovely wife were so kind and generous. - that you could keep your Luggage and roam around them city and come back and collect it before leaving that is such an amazing perk 👌🏼

Marco was amazing, very friendly, very helpful, he greeted us with a big smile, gave us a map and marked popular touristic places and how to get there. He helped us the next day with our bags, which was really appreciated. The property location was very convenient, close to everything, was clean, well maintained, comfortable and would definitely recommend.

Incredible! The Host was the nicest human ever and super helpful. We had awkward arrival and checkout times and he was very chill and helpful in accommodating us. All round one of the best places we’ve stayed and so close to everything! The Air conditioning was fab and the blackout blinds were brilliant. We had the best time here. What an incredible host 👌

It’s running by a wonderful family. I felt a connection with them from the beginning. It felt like if I was at home. Very nice experience.
The property is located at a walking distance of the main attraction in the city. The bed is comfortable, the shower is excellent.

Everything was perfectly as expected. Bigger TV would be cool but we didn't even use it.

I can’t say anything bad about this property.
Location,very nice helpful friendly and awesome people Marco and son Daniel. We are extremely thankful for all your extra services including offering and giving us a ride to our next destination. We very much appreciate all you have done for us. we highly recommend your Blue Notte Guest House to everyone. We will certainly return to this hotel when we visit Florence again.

We liked how close it was to everything and how clean it was, the morning coffee and how wonderful Marco was. He went above and beyond in helping us coordinate our excursions around Florence.

The accommodation was huge by Italian standards. Modern design. Great facilities. Super close to the duomo and central Florence . Staff were awesome and the breakfast option was such good value for money

It it first floor and the next building is very close so the room is in the shadow everytime even though outside is sunny.
The room was exactly as in the picture and it was clean. Another plus is that is very close to the city center, 10 min walk to the Dome, and 25 min to Central Train Station. The comunication with the staff was very smooth through whatsapp
