We had a lovely stay at Hotel Bixio. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable throughout. We enjoyed use of the pool area and the views from the balcony. The food in the restaurant was also good.

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel was chosen because of the proximity to La Prima Festival.

The only thing was the air conditioning unit, but it is minor… we couldn’t set it below 21° it defaulted to 25°- as Brits it was a little too warm for us! Our central heating is set at 17° !

The staff were accommodating and professional, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Laura especially was knowledgeable and spoke English wonderfully, a great bonus for us as our Italian was limited.

Small suggestion, they could have tea and coffee facilities in room. We didn't know cooked eggs were available at breakfast until the second last day, but this was likely due to our very poor Italian. A bit out from the centre of Lido Di Camaiore, around a 20 min walk, so bicycles were a great alternative to walking. Great hotel if, like us, you have a gig in la prima estate. With regards to the area, payment required on the beach for sunbeds and chairs we paid €40 to €50 per day for 4 people, which you need to factor in. This this is not something the hotel has control of but they manage to get customers discounts. You can move further out to the public beach and save some euros. All restaurants in this area seem to shut or serve limited food between 3 and 7pm. Some beach restaurants only provide food from 12 to 3pm and shut completely at 8pm.

We were bowled over by this small friendly family run hotel. Small but perfectly formed pool with seating and sun beds. Rooms were good sized with sea view balcony, fridge and lovely shower, shampoo, shower gel and moisturiser provided. Yards from the beach, supermarket within walking distance, We were bed and breakfast, ate once in hotel at night. We found the food and drink in the hotel, very reasonable and of good quality, and also catered for our gluten free requirements. Free bicycles and beach towels provided. Very clean and well maintained, staff were very friendly, helpful and worked very hard. Discounted rate if you book directly when you have tickets for a gig in la prima estate.
