Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Poland1. San Lorenzo is a nice, calm disrict however walk with the suitcase from Termini can be a bit strenuous and not most pleasant at night. There isnt any direct bus from Termini. Otherwise the bus and tram connection to different parts of the city is very good 2. With stays longer than 3 days some additional cleaning in the middle of the stay couls be a good idea. 3. New towels would be nice.
Room was spacious, cozy and clean. Shared kitchen area with washing machine is definitely a big plus. Nice view from the balcony. It was definitely a good value for money. What stood out the most was attentive support of Camilla. She is an amazing host and handled every issue or question immediately.

United KingdomThe only thing I would say is that the shower head didn’t stay up in its socket but otherwise there was the overhead shower to use.
After our delayed flight, delayed luggage and cancelled train we were truly grateful to arrive! Our late arrival was met with kindness and understanding after a tough and stressful time with our two tired daughters. We were met with sympathy and kindness and a wonderul welcome! There was a cute little box lift to take you up so even with luggage it was easy to navigate. The apartment was lovely, shared kitchen/dining space with our lovely family room and private bathroom. Beds were comfy, clean and a very welcome end to our journey and the subsequent steps we covered during our stay! AC unit in the room was perfect and it was amazing to meet an environmentally conscious host! Location was good and a short walk to the termini station which was why we chose it - it was also surprisingly quiet in the evenings! Fantastic balcony views at night and a small mini market close by. If you are vegan there is a cute vegan place close by too! An easy stay with everything we needed! I was even able to do a little washing to freshen up our sweaty clothes.

CroatiaThe place was super comfortable, clean, and cozy – just what we needed for a great stay. The location is perfect, really close to all the main sights, and there’s a bus stop literally right next to the building. Termini station is also nearby, which is super handy if you’re flying in or out of Fiumicino Airport. We were welcomed by Camilla, who was super friendly and cheerful – she really made us feel at home and gave us lots of helpful tips for getting around Rome.

LithuaniaThere was nothing that we didn’t like. The only thing I think could be a problem for others is that Rome is very nice for walking. Every street is like a museum so I wouldn’t recommend this place for someone who can’t walk very long or likes vacations on the beach.
Very good place to live, Termini is very close and tourists hot spots are very close too. Kitchen is clean and have everything you need to live in there. Camilla was very nice and great landlord. Termini is 10 mins away by foot. Spanish steps and Colosseum are around 30 mins away by foot. Vatican city and Trastevere are 1 hour away by foot. There is public transport but I highly recommend to walk everywhere. We went for 1 week, walked 115k steps and we are very happy. You can use bikes but with car it can take even longer because of the traffics. Also the living place is very clean, you are sharing with 1 or 2 rooms a kitchen. Kitchen has balcony. I would recommend this place for people who like walking and are younger.

TaiwanThere’s no MTR station near by. But we don’t mind walking, since all the places we planned to visit is within walking distance.
it’s a shared apartment with 3 individual rooms with a small kitchen & dinning area. Each room has its own bathroom. The whole house is clean and quiet. All the staff are very friendly. The manager is particularly nice and helpful. She provides several good vegan restaurant and useful tourist information. We had a very nice experience here due to her hospitality.

RussiaBlanket was not a single piece but multiple layers, which is not that bad, because you can adjust warmness, but if you move and turn when you sleep, occasionally blankets become a bit messy.
Close to the station, but in the quiet area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable bed. Nicely equipped kitchen. Tasty coffee and good Italian traditional coffee maker available - this was really great because we forgot to buy a coffee.
