Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyOne should note that there is no parking in the neighborhood: public parking on the road (with a fee) is at 5-10 minutes walking distance. Breakfast was basic but good.
Absolutely great position, the room had the most beautiful view ever! The room was big and clean. Very friendly staff.

GermanyMy stay was in July and it was very hot. The place is an old building with only powerful Fan, no air conditioning, and no lift. But the room is beautiful, and it feels like real Italy! I will come again
The Location is great. The Personal very helpful. A great experience to visit Pisa. Great Breakfast with gluten free options!

IrelandThere was no AC in the room. Owner explained this as an issue with planning due to the protected status of the facade. Fan was provided and adequate.
Facility and the self service breakfast suited us perfectly as we had an early flight. Location was very central and plenty of restaurants around.

RomaniaFurniture quite old. No balcony or terrace. Cleanliness average. The building itself is pretty old and entering it is quite challenging (lock, plus stairs ).
Great location, walkung distance to city centre and main station. Decent room for the price paid. Commin kitchen where you can enjoy breakfast and use the facility. Downstairs there are a few restaurants open till late. Option to pick up from airport.

United KingdomIt was up four flights of stairs. There were only fans in the room due to the age of the building but it wasn’t too much of a problem.
It was a great location over looking Piazza Cairoli with bars and restaurants right outside the main door. We arrived late at night and it was really good to be able to get food quickly around 10pm. The room was very spacious and comfortable with fridge and sofa. The bed was large and comfortable and the kitchen was always open for us with breakfast items, tea and cakes. Our host was very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomAn ensuite bathroom would have made a week long stay more acceptable. We noticed that short stay guests were provided on suite facilities. Surely this would have been more beneficial to long stay guests.
The hotel location of one kilometre from all Pisa's amenities and public transport proved particularly welcome. Pisa as a central location for travelling around Tuscany was excellent. Our hotel contact was very attentive during our stay.

United StatesI liked the location! There are shops and restaurants everywhere just steps away outside the door. The hotel is very old with added charm such as the way brick is exposed in the updated decor. Big ceiling fans are good at keeping you cool as well as the tall windows. The people who manage it are charming as well. Hashem and Ahmed were very helpful with carrying our bags up the steps to the sixth floor where there are nice views. Also, felt secure with the entrance and doors locked. The breakfast kitchen was well stocked with teas, coffees, pastries, fresh fruit, milk, juice and other items.

FinlandThose very heavy detergents that were used in cleaning - not good if you are sensitive for smells. But maybe they were necessary to keep it clean.
The room was exactly what I expected - I wanted the large room with several windows and balcony. Location the best. The view was magnificent and the balcony very modest but enough. The breakfast was modest, but normal, as continentals are in these kind of places. I knew the stairs are hard, but that's fine. You can ask help to carry your heavy luggage if needed, but still not recommended for elderly or people with some physical challenges. The weather was chilly so no need for air condition - is there? The only improvement I would suggest are some kind of mosquito nets, upon the bed or in the balcony door; the river is very close.

United KingdomUnfortunately in my opinion this should be advertised as a self catering apartment , as you have use of a kitchen but you have to make the breakfast yourself and dishwasher etc . The bed in room 1 is particularly noisy 9( sounds like jingle bells). There is also the stairs to consider as it is 4 floors up. Even a small case is tricky!
The location of the property was fantastic, in a lively square with nice bars and restaurants. The room was large with a wardrobe and drawers for storage plus a fridge
