Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyEven though I only stayed for one night, everything was absolutely perfect. The warm welcome, the charming and spotless apartment, and the incredibly comfortable bed made me feel instantly at home. The atmosphere was full of good vibes, and the lovingly prepared breakfast in the morning was a true highlight. Everyone was so friendly and kind – it felt very personal and special. Highly recommended – I would come back in a heartbeat!

This was a dreamy location and stay. We had a 4 day stay, which we packed with day trips to Como (15 mins by bus), Bellagio (45 mins by bus) and Milan (around 1.5 hours transport) - so it was refreshing to end our busy days at this beautiful B&B in the calm town of Torno. The location was perfect - easy transport links by ferry or bus everywhere. The B&B hosts were lovely, the B&B itself is beautifully sat right on the waterfront harbour. Our room was spacious, classy and clean and the hotel has a communal terrace which had a lovely view on to the harbour. We ate dinner on there two of the nights (nearby takeaway pizza is delicious!!). The breakfast included every morning was delicious and filled us up. The bar was great for the evenings, and there are a few nearby bars/restaurants too.

Comfortable apartment with lots of character, very spacious with full cooking facilities. Ideal location in picturesque but less busy Torno. So handy to the ferry. Breakfast was a big spread and the staff were friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend as a place to stay to base yourself to explore the lake.

United StatesEveryone who worked with Bed and Breakfast Art Deco was delightful, kind and generous. The apartment was spacious and lovely. The breakfast was amazing. The view from the terrace was just what I wanted. It was the quintessential Italian holiday. Thank you to Marco and everyone at B & B Art Deco. I hope you have a wonderful fall and winter season. United KingdomDriving is generally very difficult with narrow roads all around the lake and few passing areas. Parking is also extremely difficult generally and around our accommodation. Sometimes I had to climb a steep hill and park a fare way from our accommodation. WOULD RECOMMEND NOT BRINGING A CAR
It is a lovely place to stay. Marco, the owner, has a great little restaurant and the breakfasts are delicious. We often ate out at their restaurant at night when lots of locals come - great food at a reasonable price. Torno is good for touring the bottom part of the lake.

GermanyThe mobile connection is a disaster, and we had no wifi. It was really really hot, especially during the night. There is a ventilator in the room, but it wasn´t soo helpful with that heat. But I guess that´s normal in summer. If you want to eat, there are not so many options in the village, you will probably have to go to Como. Still, for the price, I think it was a great stay.
The breakfast was really good, the stuff was polite. The room was quite spacious, as well as our bathroom, and there were free drinks in the fridge in the room, which on that heat, was trully great! In the room, everything was quite old, but clean. The location is amazing and very beautiful, right near the Ferry station and 5 minutes to walk to the bus station. The view from the room is also very nice.

United StatesNo dryer.
We enjoyed our stay while in Torno, right at the waters edge. Other than the church bells which you hear in every commune it was pretty quiet. The breakfast was just right and they were always ready for us when we came down, even knowing the kind of coffee we liked. Thank you we will come back to visit!

Oh, it's simply an exceptional apartment with distinct Italian character and style. It is so beautiful, lovely, and cozy. The owner, Marco, was incredibly kind and helpful. Additionally, the restaurant offers some of the best Italian dishes, and the wine is superb! I would definitely like to come back.

LatviaThe rooms didn’t have a conditioner, but there was a ventilator, that you could use and the rooms were cold already. The location is good, but if you want to take a ship to Bellagio or Varenna, they go only few times a day, only in the morning. In the high season (we were there in July) the busses are full and it was a nightmare to get to and from the hotel, but that didn’t take away from the bautiful town or the hotel. The shower was a little small, but it wasn’t anything you couldn’t adjust to.
Very traditional apartment, renovated, but still had some old elements, we enjoyed that a lot. If you want a modern standard hotel, look somewhere else, because this is even more special than an ordinary hotel. The appartment was very big, had many rooms, the breakfast was the best breakfast in Italy, had everything you may need - ham, cheese, tomatoes, mozarella, croissants, bread, yogurt, nutella, juices, water bottles you can take, fresh fruit. There was also a fully equiped kitchen you could use. The hosts were very nice, helped us to get our luggage upstairs, explained everything. There is a terrace/balcony available for all the guests, where you could eat, watch the sunset and beautiful lake Como. The appartment is located in a small city of Torno, which is very beautiful, wasn’t crowded at all, like other bigger cities. Also the boat port was close and bus stop was near. Very beautiful views around the hotel, we even went for a walk uphill, very much recommend!

New ZealandThe only negative was the shower which was old and VERY small, especially for 2 XLs such as ourselves. If you are XXL, I suggest finding elsewhere to stay.
This was our first stop in Italy and are super glad we chose Torno to stay in, its a quaint little fishing village and the perfect base for visiting Como and Bellagio and Bellano. We found parking every day no probs in the public carpark, you then have to walk down to the lakefront and the B&B. The apartment was massive and there was acess to a private balcony. But we mostly went to the owners bar and cafe mostly as the food there was great. The breakfast was also excellent! Marco was an excellent host and he stayed in contact with us

IndiaI won't say I utterly disliked anything, however the door handle of the main gate was broken, several loose tiles on the bedroom floor, the shower was very small.
Loved Torno and loved my stay in this B&B. A mix of old charm and modern amenities in the bedroom furnitures and bathroom furnishings. The kitchen is fully-equipped, we did not cook but I wish I had made a meal or two! View of the lake and small pier from the beautiful terrace which is shared but practically was left alone to us. The included breakfast was very good compared to the room tariff. We also had lunch and dinner in the same restaurant and we loved the pasta and tiramisu.
