Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaWe had to wait 30 minutes for our room to be cleaned when we arrived in the late afternoon. Another room, without sea view as booked, we had refused. So, it is better to inform the hotel on the day before about the approximate. time of arrival.
Small, charming and cosy hotel in the old town of Agrigento. The rooftop terrace with view to the hills was very nice. There is no breakfast in the hotel, but there are two excellent and cheap coffee shops - Concordia and Avenue on the main square, those we can for sure suggest, walking distance only 5 minutes down.

CanadaThe breakfast was not good. There was absolutely no one at the place to greet us when we arrived or when we left. We saw the gentleman for about 10 minutes.
The room was very clean and quiet.

United KingdomWe had to park on the main street and walk few minutes to the property. The walk is not practical with big suitcases. Shower was not comfortable. The bar was broken and even if it was not, the fixed shower head was too low and we’d keep bumping our head into it. Water stream was not regular, it kept going strong and weak and hot and cold. It needs fixing. Air condition took time to cool the room.
Big room, good location and great view from the terrace.

United KingdomThe accommodation is up a very steep hill so if you are arriving on foot, this is tough going with bags. The key jams slightly in the door so we had to call the owner for help to get in. He arrived very quickly once we called.
The accommodation is beautifully decorated in a modern style. Everything was exceptionally clean. A beautiful patio on the top floor overlooks the city. There is a breakfast room in the basement where you can help yourselves to light breakfast and drinks. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to go in the area.

United KingdomThe property is challenging to reach due to the 140 large steps that need to be overcome. I was there with my wife - both athletic people - and were rather out of breath by the time we entered the property, when we were without luggages. When we arrived and when we left, it was extremely challenging to climb up and down those steps. I would not recommend the property to the elderly, as they would struggle to reach it.
Recently renovated property with brand new finishes. Andrea, the host, was incredibly helpful and always responsive. The location of the property is convenient as it is a few steps away from cafes and restaurants.

GermanySometimes, it was a bit tiresome to always go downstairs for our cold drinks or food, but since it was a huge kitchen area with so many kitchen utensils and breakfast, I would always choose this over just a fridge in my room.
The room was great, we had everything we needed. Everything was perfectly clean, too, and the staff was really nice and helpful. Downstairs, there was also a kitchen that you could use together with all the others that stayed there. In the kitchen, we could use a coffee machine and eat a little breakfast, like cornflakes, bread with jam or small cakes. There was also a huge fridge, so that everyone could store drinks or food in there. Upstairs, there was also a terrace with a fantastic view of Agrigento. Colle Greco is located 2 minutes from the old town, so you could go to the city whenever you wanted.

United KingdomNothing. Pretty perfect and excellent value
The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful shared kitchen area, done with such attention to detail. The cherry on the cake was the spectacular terrace which we could use. It had the best view of Agrigento and the sea.

PortugalSo - we booked a large 3 people bedroom although we were 2. We chose this place over others because of it and we paid for it. When we arrived, they gave us a much smaller room and had the nerve to tell us we needed to pay extra 50 euros for the room we booked. Furthermore we never saw any of the staff - to the point that they forgot to ask us for our ID and them spend the next day harassing us while we were traveling for us to send photos of the IDs. ALSO BOOKING SHARES YOUR PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER WITH THE B&B and I find this unacceptable considering it is my personal data and booking now has and app.

AustriaThe host was super nice, even gave us tips where to dine, best bars etc. The room and the whole house are super clean and there's everything you need. The best was the terrace, from there you have a view on the sea and the Agrigento temples. Don't expect too much of the breakfast though as it's the typical Italian breakfast: cookies and other sweet stuff. However, there's a fridge so you can buy some bread or other stuff you like and have breakfast at the terrace.

GermanyStunning location & beautiful bed & breakfast! I had my own personal balcony with a seaside view & huge room. Loved that it was self service breakfast, check-in / out was seamless, & the stay was accommodated with snacks / coffee. Host was helpful & I don’t speak any Italian, so I was grateful for the easy communication. Highly recommend & I will be back!

United StatesMy wife thought the mattress uncomfortable, but otherwise we had no complaints. I thought Cole Greco was a perfect place from which to visit Agrigento.
The apartment we had at Cole Greco was just as described, comfortable, clean, and modern. There was no staff on site while we were staying there overnight, but the staff was very responsive to our E-mails and they directed us quite efficiently to the hotel. Travelers should know that you can’t drive directly to the hotel, but if you stop at Piazza Lena, Cole Greco is only a five minute walk. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the old city. You can walk to both the cathedral and a street that is home to many restaurants and gelateria.
