How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Wifi was not working in the room. Walls are thin, so you can hear the snoring from next door. AC had a very strange sound keeping us awake during the night.
Great location, good breakfast, free parking. Perfect for a short stay.

Super breakfast, more than enough. Friendly personel, no englisch speaking staff. But with little hands and foodwork, we were understanding them. It's a nice B&B, and directly (5min) in the centrum of the village.

Great terrace for our kids to play, very good breakfast (not only italian dolci), 10min to to lido di cernobbio and port.

The room was quite small for 4 persons. Felt a little cramped.
Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast outside on the shady terrace. Very attentive especially to the children. Parking was a little tight but not a problem even with our large car. Short walk to central Cernobbio.

Everything was perfect, from the welcome messages to the check-in process. The only thing that could be improved is the internet access, that was a little bit erratic and failed sometimes, but ended up being enough for what I needed during my stay.
The room was very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped (hair dryer, lots of towels, hygiene products). The breakfast was superb and varied (croissants, boiled egg, cheese and ham, toast, French bread... and the place where we had breakfast was really pleasant and very enjoyable. Also, the staff was very friendly and made me feel very welcome and at home. Really loved the breakfast experience!

The room is a bit tight, there is a big, bulky cupboard that takes a lot of space, and makes it a bit uneasy to move around the room when you are two people.
Good location and the place was very clean and tidy. Paola helped us with a smooth checkin and was super friendly. We also enjoyed a nice breakfast with bread, croissants, cheese, eggs, yogurt, marmalade, coffee, and more.

A nice place, easy to get to by bus from the train station in Como. The couple who run the place are really very nice, although they can't speak English. No problem to communicate with the help of a translating App. They serve also good breakfast. The apartment is very comfortable. The location is good, near to the lake, restaurants, supermarket and shopping center. Very nice stay.

We would have liked to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room. Not sure if we were allowed to use the ones in their kitchen as it was a bit hard to communicate with them as we don't speak Italian.
Great location and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Parking was a little tight. The instructions to find the room were a bit hard to follow due to bad translation but we found it in the end lol the room could have been abit cleaner as we found old candy wrappers on the top bunk.
The owners were very sweet and helpful. They made a fantastic breakfast and even went out to buy my baby a banana ! First class service thank you. Good facilities, we made use of the refrigerator in the common area.

All good!
Very good location which is 5 mins walk to LIDL and less than 10 mins walk to Ferry pier. Very cool kitchen and compound area for breakfast. Sumptuous breakfast served as individual set.

The room was too small for two pieces of luggage to be easily accessible. Sound carried through walls.
The price, the breakfast and breakfast area, & the staff was usually there to help. Grocery store nearby.
