How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautifully restored. Immaculate, well-appointed, comfortable room and en suite. Excellent location for train and bus travel. Coffee machine and pods. Delightful staff. Quaint old-style Otis lift to the sixth floor, although you may choose as we did for one return trip, to walk up and down the marble stairs. We highly recommend the nearby Turkish restaurant.
It would have been helpful to have been told that we could have left our gear in an office on the ground floor when we arrived well in advance of the 3 p.m. check-in Be aware that there is no option for earlier check-in, and reception is not staffed once all guests have checked in. Not a major issue, though, as a minor issue was remedied promptly once I phoned the contact number.

Verified reviewI really like the location, the train station is just crossing the road, we would get the train every day so, was perfect. The room is small but we could find a place to organise our luggage. Bathroom seems renovated and the room was clean/organised daily.
Reception hours are limited, we had to wait a bit to get in the facilities. We got in touch with staff and everything was sorted, but would better if there was a reception desk.

Verified reviewThe only good thing is this place is close to the main train station, nothing else..
Gosh, what a nightmare.. The owner in whatsapp told that he was going to give my room at 3 pm, thats okey.. and exactly at 3.15 a guy (hotel employee) arrived with a neutral face, so when I asked him why they gave the room late he literally said an amazing thing : ''Did you die in 15 minutes ? Why are you angry ? Something serious happened ? " So as an ex-hotel employee and a very patient person in life, I got shocked and started to raise my voice against him, and reciprocally he raised his voice, and during the check-in phase of this damn hotel, a very non-sense argument started to grow and grow and we shouted at each other.. He could just say a simple sorry and I would have stepped back.. But, this hotel, owner, and that employee made my one day visit a nightmare.. Go and stay in here if you wanna get shouted right after your face ! To all English speaking International tourists, please do not stay in this hotel, plus, the owner does not speak English so there will be a real communication problem...

Verified reviewStayed for one night. Location is convenient—just a short walk from the train station. The building is old, and it shows, especially with the antique-style elevator. Room had toiletries and coffee provided, but the air conditioning took a while to cool the space down. Overall fine for a short stay if you prioritize proximity to transport over modern amenities.

The staff seemed forced upon to act friendly especially the care taker.

Verified reviewIt is very convineintly located next to Milano Centrale station. I used it for a transit stop. Public transports like metro, tram, buses and shuttle buses to the airport are all within a few metres. The room was small but equipped with amenities like kettle, tolietraties etc and very clean. The staff was extremely polite.
The only uncomfortable thing was the mattress, it was old and sagging. The price for the standard of the property was high.

Verified reviewI recently had a one- night stay at House Beatrice and I was thoroughly impressed. What truly made our experience was the incredibly helpful and accommodating hotel staff (Mr.Jem).From check -in to check- out,he went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and made us feel (with 2 boys) genuinely welcome. The professionalism and friendly deameanor were a real highlight. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic-very central and felt very safe.
My only minor quibble was a blinking light inside the toilet area.It wasn't a major issue, especially for one night, but something worth noting.
