How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

bathroom floor is quite slippery, maybe dangerous for old people
good value of money, aircon working, clear instruction for check-in, good communication with the staff. Location is not too central but there are tram station and metro station nearby to reach the city center

This was the best place we stayed at during our 7-location trip in Italy, shall I say it was the cheapest? The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed - including a small private terrace with cozy seating. The location was excellent (for the money): less than a 10-minute walk to the subway, which took us to all the main attractions in 20 to 40 minutes. There were also a few great local restaurants nearby. The staff were exceptionally helpful and even allowed us to check in early.

the receipt. I needed it for my work, but it was difficult for the staff to give me something like a normal receipt. My room was close to the door structure, so there was noise when some people arrived or go out.
comunication with staff was easy and they were very kind and polite; also the room was nice and modern; the bathroom very comfortable.

Good location for ease of getting to the airport for a flight. A few restaurants in the area, one of which had the best pizza I have ever had. Nice outdoor space and very comfortable room.

We thought all rooms had balconies but they don’t. It was so hot however, we didn’t use them anyways.
10 min walk to metro which took you into central Milan in 15 mins. Tram stop across the road but we didn’t use it. Cornel on reception was a great help and always replied to my messages. Property was clean, well proportioned and easily located. Couple of bars/cafes in the vicinity but for more choice you have to go a couple of stops on metro.

The room walls are a little thin. We woke up in the middle of the night hearing others in the apartment next to us but apart from that no complaints!
Whilst a little outside central Milan there is a tram outside to the centre and very near the train station. The room is clean and the host was approachable and quickly responded to any questions we had.

The room was a bit small. But no big deal.
Great value. Very clean. Comfy bed. Great towels. Clean modern design. Very welcoming host. Strong WiFi. Coffee/Water/Biscuits in the room. Just 8 minutes walk to/from Lambrate Metro (M2 line). Not much further to the lively sections of the neighborhood. Don't miss the excellent Saturday morning Mercato Valvassori Peroni. Very satisfied stay.

Just a small thing but a glass for water would be nice.
Room was great, very big with two balconies. Check in was very smooth with a key code and the instructions were very clear and precise. Minutes walk from lambrate station and lots of bars and restaurants close by. Communication was fine, but we didn't see a member of staff at all.

The location was quite out of the way. Nothing of interest nearby and not many restaurants and bars. We had to get trams into the centre but they were frequent so it wasn’t too bad. The terrace was pretty but the walls were 20 feet high so no view at all.
The room was lovely. Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Kettle and coffee maker. Fridge. The bathroom was modern and clean.

It was very hard to let fresh air in the room, as the room was kinda boxed in glass, even if you crack open a window a bit (you can't open it all the way).
It was clean overall. Overall a pleasant stay.

Lovely property, situated in a quiet area, had mini gym. The property was clean and It was the first place I’ve stayed with snack bar and biscuit not just water upon arrival. It is a walkable distance from the metro which takes you directly to the city centre and other locations. The host was warm and very responsive. I would definitely recommend.

The water pressure from the shower is super slow, we had to wait for a few minutes until the hot water flows. Other than that everything was perfect!!
The room was super clean, bed comfortable, space is small but enough for a couple. We have a little patio we can chill for morning coffee and late night conversations. The location is really close to the train station Milan Lambrate 5 minutes walk (to Milano Centrale around 8mins ride), and also a tram station across the street that goes direct to Duomo that takes around 30mins~ The staff is super helpful, the self check in instruction was helpful! And super quick response when we text to them on WhatsApp.
