One of the best guest houses with an incredibly helpful and flexible host! The instructions were very easy to follow, and the place was spotless—perfect for a short stay. Our flight was delayed, but the host went above and beyond by helping us with self-check-in, providing clear instructions and a map to follow. The kitchen is adorable, making you feel right at home and cozy. The place is perfect for starting your journey from Varenna.

Too small room, but I guess that's what you get in such a "scramled" and small town, if you wan't to stay in the centre or by the lake.

Free parking space far away (check the map to find one), mostly all the lots are taken. Reserve time for finding and then walking to the property. The reception (to pick the keys) is two blocks away from the room, a bit difficult to find if arriving late.

Simple and clean room in the heart of Dervio. Nice self-service breakfast.

Nothing really. Just beware that the property is about 30-40 metres away from the office where you collect the key.

Well decorated, comfortable, short walk from the lakeside, well priced and good facilities. The host is very kind and speaks good English, although he did make sure that I practiced my Italian instead.

Cute little place with great location close to the train station and centre od Dervio. Our host, Marco, was very kind to let us self check in due to late arrival. Communication was simply great. Well equipped kitchen with coffee maker and selecion of teas at your disposal.

We recommend this guest house to everyone who plans to visit Dervio! Everything was great: warm welcome, perfect location, very clean bathroom and sheets, tea and coffee bonus :)

The 4-person room is not suitable for four or even three people. We booked it for two friends and a small child (2 years old). The room was so small that it was difficult to move around. The large bed was fine, but the other two were pull-out beds from a wardrobe with very poor quality mattresses. The mattress was so bad that even a slim person weighing 50 kg could feel every slat of the frame. The room is suitable for a maximum of 2 people. Offering it as a 4-person room is inappropriate and does not match the actual conditions. Additionally, check-in was only available until 7:00 PM, while our train was scheduled to arrive at 7:10 PM. This caused us a great deal of stress, as we only received a message at 6:30 PM informing us that we could check in ourselves. Prior to that, the communication suggested that if we didn’t arrive by 7:00 PM, we would not be able to access the property at all. This was a very unprofessional approach that created unnecessary stress throughout our journey, right up until the very end.

Information in general. Parking was really important for us (motorbike). But while the property says that they have parking options in Booking.com, they don't. You have to park somewhere remote, which is far from ideal by motorbike. Mentioned it beforehand to avoid surprises, but we had to leave the property upon arrival as we were not comfortable with parking motorbikes unattended.

I wish there was a kitchen knife and also black pepper and not only salt. My bed had a memory foam mattress and it was too soft for me but I put a pillow under my torso and it was ok. But maybe the description about the beds could include what kind of mattress.

I love the houses hosted by Marco and Grazia, all their accommodations are fully equipped and accessoried with an impeccable mountain taste, I love the common kitchen they have on the ground floor, super clean, extremely cosy (there’s a fireplace)

Very clean, large modern room and bath. Kitchen and breakfast room to use. Friendly, helpful staff. Centrally located. Non Solo Pane deli across the way serves breakfast in nice outdoor plaza.

For 70 euros per night the double room is not value for money. The room Is very small with no air flow and there is no air con, this means the room is extremely warm and uncomfortable. There is a fan that makes it slightly bearable but there was a storm and the fuses tripped meaning there was no power all night till 7am meaning I had no real sleep for 6 hours as the room was hot and uncomfortable. Other places in the same square had power so it was not an area power cut. The bathroom is tiny, the shower cubicle was very small if you turn around you push the tap and the water turns off. There is no shelf for toiletries so you have to put on the floor, when you bend down you push the shower door open, or you have to squat like at the gym. Not really the experience you want just after waking up. Room either needs air con, improved electrics or reduce the price to 40 euros. For 40 euros I would have rated 7.5/10

The listing suggested that it was an apartment that sleeps 4 people. We (2 male colleagues) were surprised to find that we had 1 double bed and some children's bunk beds (in a cupboard)
