In a rural setting at the foot of the supramonte mountains. A majestic scenery.. easy to get to Cala Ganone. Free parking at the roundabout coming down the mountain into Cala Ganone.with a free shuttle to the port. The layout of the hotel is very gorgeous. We had a. Amazing breakfast. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. We had Antonio's home made pasta..Dinner options at Dorgali seem limited. Lots of pizzerias. Just wonderful experience. 😊

Nicely designed hotel in an olive grove, comfortable room with private little terrace. The restaurant was also very good and the staff was super friendly. The location is wonderful, really out in the country.

Very charming property. Good location that was very central to a lot of what we wanted to see, but Dorgali itself as a town isn’t the cutest. Staff were cordial and helpful in providing what we needed. Cleaning provided everyday. Could have a bit more personal touches like fruit or jams from the property, but that’s more of a suggestion to make the experience more personalized rather than a negative. Overall great stay.

The room was very dark, we needed the light on. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

A peaceful location, we enjoyed the veranda and had a good dinner. The breakfast was varied with fruit & yoghurt as well as cheese, meats, frittata and sweet things. Only 15 mins to beach.

Additionally, while the staff were friendly and accommodating, we did find that communication in English was a bit difficult at times. Improving their English skills would definitely enhance the overall experience.

We recently stayed at this hotel near Cala Gonone for our boat trip, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The location is beautifully quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our room had a lovely terrace with a garden view, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The on-site restaurant was a real highlight, offering an excellent menu with delicious options that we thoroughly enjoyed. One thing to keep in mind is that getting around without a car could be a bit challenging, so I would recommend having one if you plan to explore the area. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its serene location and great dining options.

I liked everything about this location, but is worth mentioning that you definitely need to have a car to move around.

The staff is very nice and friendly. The room is large and decorated in Sardinian style, comfortable beds and there is also a nice small terrace. The property is located in a rural area, very quiet and nice views to surrounding mountains. Also they have a very nice restaurant with very good traditional food, fresh and local products.

The room was a bit too small in the area of the bed and unfortunately every morning has started with noise from the constructions near the hotel.

Hotel Barbagia is quite amazing. It is very simple and down to earth yet with a lot of character and style. Being away from any traffic noise, there is absolutely no sound to interrupt your sleep (except for the occasional donkey which is welcome). No need to switch on the aircon either - just leave the terrace door open for the night and let the mountain breeze cool you. The hotel boasts one of the best restaurants around with locals frequenting. Staying here, you have no need to worry about where to dine. Similarly, the breakfast buffet is rich in choice with sweet and savoury food, fruit and (seriously) the best coffee! Lovely place run by lovely people! I have enjoyed every aspect of my stay here and I like to think that I will come again.

2 days of rain (obviously no fault of the hotel) internet to rooms was very intermittent

The buffet breakfast provided many choices, and everything we tried was delicious. The location is very picturesque, with a rural outlook and views to the magnificent mountains all around.

All was perfect. The only thing I would work on was the Wi-Fi in the rooms. We did not have any in ours. As the phone signal is so difficult in the mountains so we are unable to use our direct signal from our home net. WiFi worked perfectly in the reception and restaurant spot. This would be the only thing I could recommend to work on to maybe make the WiFi sign stronger to cover all rooms. ☺

Absolutely beautiful and small hotel located beautifully in Nature. Spacious and very nice rooms. Very welcoming stuff and beautiful coffee and breakfast. A big parking space to park your car. We will definitely come back when next time in Dorgali.
