Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

maybe just an addition to the breakfast - some savoury items. but the breakfast was great any way, especially with the home made cakes which made it perfect :)
the room was super clean, and the place is super relaxing and safe the owner was very polite, helpful and has a lot of attention to detail she also went out of her way to help and accommodate us the decor and the breakfast was delicious

Very cozy, clean, comfortable and super pleasant place to stay. The host is extremely welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The place is decorated with love and attention to the details that travelers could have a nice time and rest during travelling. There is a very nice terrace and garden, a lot of place to park your car. Thank you to the hosts! I would highly recommend to stay at the Balconico sugli Ulivi.

Rosaria is a great host, the way in which she hosted us in her structure has been outstanding. Room was nice, well-equipped and very clean. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh products, cakes were also made by Rosaria herself. Everything was right, i noticed a great attention to the client/s. Maybe the position of the structure is not fully comfortable, but the structure is high recommended!

Nothing all good.
The host and location were super. The room very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. Closed parking area and close to centre. Highly recommended, especially to bikers.

Everything is wonderful. Hospitable hosts. The room and the bathroom are furnished with taste and everything you need. Everything is new and very clean. The breakfast is homemade, very tasty and plentiful. House with a large yard and parking. Walking distance (10 minutes) from the historic center.

Rosario was a super host for my weekend in Noto. I was the only person in the BnB on a January weekend but she still put on a great breakfast with fresh cakes each morning. The room with the terrace was very spacious and super clean. As an added bonus her sweet little cat came to visit on the terrace😀 The BnB is out the main town (10min walk) so has dedicated parking and in good location to travel to Vendicari or Ancient Noto if needed. Also makes it easy getting there off the E45 by car BTW don’t be put off by the narrow road to the BnB, the property inside the gate is excellent!

The beds are, in our opinion, pretty soft what caused some back-pain in the morning.
Outstanding breakfast with a great selection of food. The B&B provides a private and secure parking spot for the car. WiFi works well. Since the B&B is a little bit away from downtown Noto it is a quiet area what ensures a good night sleep.

We liked everything
Very nice and big room, you can park your car inside the compound (protected by security), very nice host and exceptional breakfast with homemade cakes. We really felt at home! It is 1mn walking from lovely Noto center!

The only hiccup we had during the stay was no hot water for the shower on the first day, and both my wife and I are grumpy if we are unable to have a hot shower - and that is anywhere in the world - even @ home.
The staff were very very good, unbelievable in fact. After our vehicle GPS decided to not cooperate and could not find the address, they tracked us down to come to where we were located and then we followed them back to the B&B.

The property is a bit isolated at the outskirts of the town. Some noises in the morning or by guests during the day can be heard but overall it's a very quiet area
The area is quiet. The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast is great. The hostess is very nice

The bathroom without any windows was a bit of a surprise, also, there wasn't enough space for toiletries and enough hangers for towels. The chosen toilet paper was rough. The room was overall a bit dark. The view from the balcony of our room wasn't great due to some kind of garage/shed being right in front of it.
Nice location, convenient parking. Relatively quiet at night and a private terrace to enjoy the evening breeze. Quite comfortable bed and good breakfast options.
