How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Limited options for a breakfast buffet. The dinner is tasty, but expensive for what you get. Various vegetarian meals, but very few vegan ones.

Verified reviewThe area around the hotel is great. It is a somewhat remote location however beautiful views and hikes. The hotels looks great from the outside.
The booking website promised more than actual was there. I am not sure if this is translation related or the same in Italian. Many items in the room were broken, the safe, the fridge and pillows were poor.

Verified reviewExcellent location, beautiful surrounding, quite challenging to get there if you're not the best driver. Lots of narrow and stip roads but the views - unbelievably beautiful!
Well not really disliking but few comments to maybe consider. I would prefer to have the breakfast as of 7:00 (it's served as of 8:00) especially for those who leaves the hotel early. What I found also a bit annoying is that I constantly needed to ask to refill food for the breakfast, so having someone regularly checking the buffet would be great, as at some point I felt a bit awkward to ask again for some ham and cheese.

I posted from home in England, a small package of sports drink powder. They said they didn't receive it. I think that they didn't accept the package because I know from other hotels, there would have been six euros extra to pay. So, I did not get my important package because they did not pay six euros. Huh @

Verified reviewNo hot water No fridges working. Food portion is very small. Staff will not help with what is missing at the hotel and was promised at booking. Staff will find all short of excuses not to get you want they promised on booking. Dinner at hotel is extremely expensive. Staff will ignore all email send after booking. They block your card so you have to pay full amount even it you don't go. No shops near you have to drive at least 14 km for a food shop. Temperature at night 10 degrees or lower so yiu will be needing hot water or heating which non of them worked. And when I told them , they told me I have to stay like that.

Verified reviewAmazing property ! The view from the balcony is astonishing with huge mountains in front. The small lake they have in the back of the yard is great for when you want to chill ! Staff is great as they do their best to comply with your request! I have stayed here 2 times and I would come back again and again! It was my mother birthday and they did a very cute thing with rose petals, and a happy birthday card for her !

Verified reviewWe liked everything. Friendly staff, lovely clean room with 2 balconies (corner room) tasty delicious food, and an exceptional location. Surrounded by the dolomites and nature, lovely and peaceful, I would like to live there! Lovely garden to sit out in with a pond, where I sat and watched the dragonflies. Obsolute heaven for nature lovers. A special mention for Martina. Always smiling, very helpful and makes gorgeous coffees. Exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble.Even coped very well with our lack of Italian, with her good English.
There wasnt anything that we didnt like. The only thing that would have suited us better would have been to be able to pick a single meal in the restaurant. They have a 3 course menu which is very nice but we can only eat one course. Three courses are too much for us.
