Do realize the road up the mountain is challenging. Both our family and two of our neighbours deceided NOT to go down again for a meal or a walk in Cono.

After a harrowing trip up the mountain (a long, steep and narrow road) we arrived at this lovely hotel with the most amazing view. Friendly staff, spotless room and (shared) bathroom, and good food in the restaurant.

Nothing really, it was as expected or better.

It’s just a great place where multiple trails start. Its not super luxury, but it’s great for what it is. Great huge room terrace, though shared but it’s ~ 100m2. The photo attached is from that terrace.

Quite basic breakfast with poor coffee, cryptic English menu (unless you know local specialties), the drive to/from the hotel is quite tricky (especially at night).

We were only there for a short time, away from the tourist crowds in Como. Perfect for hikes around Lake Como. Very good local food!

I generally don't like shared bathrooms - who does - but this one was fine.

The restaurant serves delicious food, with a view overlooking Lake Como. The owners are very welcoming and there is free shaded parking. The rooms are perfectly clean and there is a huge, private (for hotel guests) terrace with sunbeds to lie, read a book or enjoy the view. Shared bathroom was very clean. It's quite an exciting narrow, winding drive up to the hotel - my boys loved it (me too, it's very scenic - but I was glad my husband was driving). Food: try the boar, the steak that comes out sizzling on a plate or the chocolate cake - so delicious. Breakfast was also nice. Almost want to give it a 9 for the experience, but it's just a little too dated and the shared bathroom holds me back from rating higher. We stopped here just one night on our way further south for our summer holiday but could have easily stayed a couple of nights longer. I'm trying to upload a photo of the view but it's not working - so you'll just have to trust me, it's amazing :)

This was an amazing overnight on the way back from Italy. Quite a drive up the mountain but totally woth it for the amazing views over lake como. The staff were welcoming and the food was far better the it needed to be given the location.

In the picture I saw a swing and a playground... This was not the case, they did however have some spring riders and 2 fußball tables. It is a great location for couples and families with teenagers, but not that suited for small children, for there is not much for them to do there or near by. 5 rooms and only 2 shared bathrooms - unisex in the hallway. P.s. unrelated to the property but important information for visitors of the area: please keep in mind, that the mountain roads there ( Como) are really narrow ( in some portions 2 - 3 m wide and trafic from both sides plus bicycles plus people wandering on them) .

The view was exceptional! The breakfast was good and the restaurant food was really good value. Friendly staff was flexible to our needs, which I find great when going on vacation with the kids.

everything was fine, high on the top of the mountain, for me the road to the lake was very extreme, especially the first days, then we got used to it) but everything was fine)

The staff were very friendly and did their best to manage with a foreigner that doesn't speak Italian. But their English is incredibly limited. We got by, but this was the only accommodation on our multi-week trip that this was an issue. Just a warning for travellers, I don't think everyone needs to speak my language in their own country.

The view is stunning and it is in such a quiet area that it makes for a great place to stay. I'd love to come back in winter. The little walking tracks around the area were lovely.

All is fascinating, especially the view:) and the simplicity and the cleanliness, thank you. However I think that on weekends there are many people and it can become crowded and noisy.

Breakfast was great:) Secluded and beautiful. Very old I think. On weekends you can go there by mini bus, but on weekdays you have to use your feet:) Downwards is easier but upwards is tough.

No AC in the room. Dinner (pasta dishes) was fairly stodgy. The pizzas did look good though.

The rooms were a little bit plain, but adequate

Good breakfast and fantastic location. I loved the way the rooms opened onto the large terrace with the stunning lake view. Same with the outdoor dining area that was on another terrace overlooking the lake. Also the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The road is really hard and at the end there was no road but pointy rocks. I would not drive there again. We checked out a day early as we couldn't imagine going back to that road.

The view is absolutely beautiful, I couldn't get enough of it. The rooms are clean. The restaurant is very very good. I was worried about the shared bathroom but it was better than I thought as they are cleaned and well maintain.

Road up the mountain is quite challenging and we've driven many mountain roads in France. Very narrow, not many passing places. Fine if nothing comes the other way!
