Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsIt took us a while to get there, as the road was quite narrow and there were some spots where we had to reverse to let other cars pass. We arrived after the check-in time and had to pay an extra 30 euros (10 euros for each hour of delay). But I noticed that this became a usual practice in Italy. The room itself was a bit outdated and what I really didn’t like - a bottle in the room left by previous guest.
The location was interesting — situated at the top of a mountain road. The terrace where we had breakfast was really cool. The breakfast itself was simple, but the omelette was delicious. We also took the opportunity to go hiking in the area, which was enjoyable.

FranceIt takes a 20 minutes walk to arrive from the T3 finale station if by public transport and challenges your driving skills if by private car, but the host is super nice offering a pickup and thereof not a problem.
The location is on the mountain, good for escaping from a summer hot weather. The panorama from the bedroom window and restaurant is gorgeous for a view of Italian northern plains with the lake Alerio a pearl look. This hotel is very family friendly and the food are so delicious. I also like the community there - warm welcoming to neighborhood and strangers.

NetherlandsIt's not that its a drawback or bad thing ... but we drove a 1.2 Touran with 7 people (two parents and 5 kids) and a trailer and to drove 40 minutes in 1ste gear at 3000rpm with a 20% incline up the mountain with small roads, gravel and steeps 200meters down and the "roads" as wide as the car itself and other drivers going down the hill was on itself a real challenge, not suitable for everyone. .... And the next day down from 1200meter... No air-conditioning and the interior is old but clean and functional. Toilets and shower you need to share with others. From us no problem but for others I don't know?
The location is awesome! (bring a Drone). The view, the hospitality and the food was very good. Wild animals can be seen in the evening when they feed the animals with the food leftovers from the tourists.

BelgiumThe road up to Baita Bondella is a bit of a challenge. Very small roads which are at the end not with hard surface.
Location is very nice, and breakfast and rooms are ok in function of the price. Rooms are OK for one night, but not for a longer stay. We arrived late, and were still friendly received by the owner

EstoniaThe breakfast was only bread, jam, juice and some fruits. And because the tap water isn’t drinkable the room could use glasses and utensils etc. Also some kitchen towels and garbage pin would have been nice. The road there was thrilling but it also made it more memorable.
The location was amaziiiiiing and staff was friendly and everything was really cozy. The pictures describe the place well, nothing too fancy, but for our one night stay it was great. We had luck to stay on a night when there was a band playing, so the night was eventful and made it more special. Great food - had a chance to try polento and real italian snacks.

United KingdomThis is not a hotel per se but more of a mountain top hostel with a restaurant, So you have to temper your expectations. I am afraid there is only 1 shared shower and 1 toilet. So the hostel is quite spartan.
The views are stunning. The hotel is on top of a mountain and faces Milan. The hotel is at about 1,100m so you can see very far. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The guard dog, woody, was the friendliest pooch I know.

RomaniaThe staff at the pension was very kind and more than nice. Absolutely delicious food - really food for the soul I would say. The view from the terrace is absolutely gorgeous ❤️ (big 10 for that). The road to the guesthouse is a picturesque one - both literally and figuratively - quite winding, narrow in places, minimally equipped on some segments. You really need a good car to get to the top (altitude 1100m). But it's worth it!

LithuaniaThe hotel is pretty dated. The blankets were dirty and did not feel like they're often washed. The beds were uncomfortable. Even though the view is very nice both - from the balcony and from the restaurant, it's not overlooking Como, but the other side instead. The worst part is the drive up there. Very long, narrow and dangerous road that's leading up to the hotel.
Very nice view from the balcony. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast. Good value for the good price.

BelgiumMosquitoes, the old man who very unkind in the beginning, the location is not easily accessible and not good for average drivers. There was a smell in bathroom. We were charged additional 140, almost 70% of the original booking amount just because the age was not showing up on their portal.

Breakfast was a 10/10, and every member of the staff was warm, kind, and accommodating. If you're visiting Como and looking for a place to stay, Baita Bondella is definitely the one to book!
